Title: Pins/Needles, Burning, Itching Pain???
Post by: topping21 on May 30, 2012, 08:33:26 AM
Past couple of days i have noticed my Pins/Needles, Burning, Itching Pain has returned.  I am not sure if this is just a flare up thing or what?

Any advice on what to do to calm the symptoms.  I tried taking Nuerotin the last time this happend but went completly dry while taking it.

I know Joe said something with B12 and some other stuff for the nueropathy pain but not sure what it was.

Thanks for the help!!!

Foot Patches or Ionic foot bath to draw toxins out. Alpha lipoic Acid will also pull some toxins out. My memory is a little foggy but I think B12 helps with mylin (sp) sheath of nerves.

Have you talked to your doc about this?

Sounds like you need to see a neurologist. My pins and needles started in one big toe and progressed up to my knee very quickly.

I take B12 shots but have not really found anything to calm the sensations.

There are some neuropathy forums online that might have some good advice that could help you with the symptoms.

Has anybody tried or is on Sevella.  My doctor gave me a 2 week incline dose and was kind of hesitant to take it because I dont want to dry out more than I am?

Joe what you recommend me doing I want to go the natural route as I dont do prescriptions all that well.  Should I take B12 + r- lipic???

Sounds like neuropathy to me - and I agree - have you seen a neurologist?

Also have you been tested for B12 - it's a simple blood test. If you are low it may explain the neuropathy. If you are getting tested for it, don't start supplementation until you've had your blood drawn.

If you need B12 - look for methylcobalamin - it's difficult to find, I buy mine at my food coop or you can find it online. Most places sell cyanocobalamin.

My neuropathy comes and goes as I flare.

Topping21, That should work. The other thing that I did was a poultice of dried Apple Cider Vinegar and activated Charcoal on the soles of my feet (three weeks).

With 8 weeks with out supplements, my neuropathy has returned.

There are a lot of OTC counter things that will help and many people do take the oral vit B. However, it is wise to get this assessed first. Sometimes there can be a diagnosis of pernicious anemia which can demand that Vit B injections are done. The oral form of Vit B doesn't absorb very well and pernicious anemia can be very serious if not treated correctly. Good luck. Irish
