DYK that an autoantibody to the protein SS-A/Ro, found in women with Sjogren's syndrome, can very rarely be associated with congenital heart block and neonatal lupus in newborn babies. If you have Sjogren's syndrome and plan to become pregnant, see your doctor about testing for this marker and also for deciding what to do if the marker is present.
