I am so frustrated today. I just came from the Rheumy and she said that my Fibro is in full flair. How do you know it is Fibro and not RA or Sjogrens. I just know I am in pain and there is nothing else to do. The shingle have gotten me down and she thinks they triggered the Fibro again. Why can't they figure out something to help with this pain??
I just want my life back!! I don't want to be in all this pain any more.
I know it could be worse and I try to remember that when I complain but it is hard.
Thanks for listening!
Love, harlin
In the book, "When bad things happen to good people," the author has a son dying of Tay-Sachs disease, and he has congregants seeking help and advice from him who are hesitant, saying how can my little problems compare to your dying son?
That doesn't mean that your "little problems" aren't big to you, and you are more than entitled to your own pain and you can feel free to seek help and sympathy.
Sure, things could be worse. But they could be a LOT better, too.
I don't remember my life before any more, so that helps me. My life has been a gradual slide since college. sigh.
Hang in there, and know that many people do care!
Hugs, Sharon

Thanks, it is just so hard to deal with the everyday pain. I know everyone here is feeling the same pain and I pray that everyday all our pain is gone.
Sometimes I just need to let someone other than my family how I feel and I thank God everyday for this web site and all my Sjs buddies.
I love and pray for all of you!
Love harlin
Hang in there harlin! My prayers are with you. Each day the pain will get a little better.....soon you'll have it under control. So sorry you are not feeling well.
Harlin,
Aww, there is nothing that drains us more than a constant underlying pain. It weakens the body, steals the energy and makes us feel that life is bleak. Its ok to feel sorry for yourself, you deserve to feel that way and have earned that right. Life is definitely not the same and no one can tell you that it is.
Just know that I am sending you a big hug at this moment and all of my energy so that tomorrow is a better day for you. We will always have tomorrow to look forward to, because tomorrow is a new day full of hope, possibilities and wonderful things, and you deserve that too.
Hugs,
Daisy
Oh, Harlin, ME TOO!!! And I'm in the same boat... I've been in a flare for three weeks - had the SjS, swelling joints flare treated but am still in pain and rheumy thinks it may be fibro now. How on Earth are we supposed to distinguish one kind of pain or flare from another? I just want my life back too. Or at the very least this flare to end!
