Title: Daughter has miscarriage
Post by: Cricket on April 04, 2012, 12:07:07 PM
My daughter was 7 weeks pregnant and today has had a miscarriage.  This is her third miscarriage.

She does have two girls age 3 and 1.

My heart breaks for her and  for us as grandparents.  It is such a loss for all of us.  Monday she had a ultrasound and heard the baby's heart beat.

I am sorry I can not write anymore now, I can not see the computer through the tears.

Cricket - I'm so sorry for your daughter's loss and the loss for your family.

I had had a miscarriage early in my pregnancy after hearing the babies heartbeat too.  My head told me, it was for the best, but my heart had a harder time.    :'(

May you all be comforted as you grieve your loss.

Hugs,
Bucky

Cricket,

I'm so sorry to read your sad news.  My heart goes out to you, your daughter and her husband.

As a grandmother who has lost a grandchild early like this to miscarriage and one who's lost a granddaughter at one year old, I can relate to your pain.  Of course, your daughter's pain is raw, but I believe many people don't think of the grandparents and the burden of loss they bear.

We grieve for the grandchild lost, and we grieve for our children who are in pain.  We can sometimes feel helpless to comfort them.  It's not like when they were little and we could fix it.
Even so, I want to give you encouragement.  Listening to your daughter and letting her grieve may be the best you can do, and I wish you strength as you comfort her.

My prayers and thoughts are with you.
Melinda
