Or know what it is?? I've had it for years. It's like what I think a malar rash would look like on the face, I think. But it's sorta permanent. It flares up from time to time and looks more red than on other days.
I have a "blushing redness" type something or other that I get from above my bra line up to my clavicles or the bones that attach to the sternum. It comes and goes and I have often wonder if it was related to autoimmune. I think it is, but it doesn't cause me any problem so I guess I just never think to ask the doc.
Occasionally I will get very red cheeks, but I don't think they look like a malar rash at all. AID just does a lot of tricks on our body. Irish ;D
Yes, both I and my sister have this. It is on upper chest up into my lower neck. Always there, but sometimes flares a very bright red. Same girl at work always asks me if I got a sunburn. Um, no, for the umpteenth time it is autoimmune related. Stop asking.
I have this on my neck and chest...is bright red, looks like a burn, and its not all uniform..people often ask me if i got sunburn.
I flares up sometimes too and gets a bit itchy..i asked my doc about it yesterday in fact, and she said she has seen this with alot of other
autoimmune patients of hers...seems vascular to me...

I have something like this but it isn't permanent. It comes on when I am nervous or excited and is just confined to my upper chest. That's just what we call it, too~ my 'blush rash' :-[! It's a red splotchiness, not raised. I have always attributed it to nerves.
Thanks! My doctor has noticed it but wasn't sure what it indicated. At least he was honest! Just wondering if it's AI.
