Title: Help! I feel terrible.
Post by: Belsey1 on February 26, 2012, 06:39:51 PM
I have had a rough were with my Sjogrens....pain, weakness, nausea, fog.....but today is the worst..I hurt everywhere.  Deep muscle pain in my arms, legs, hips...I compare it to having tetanus shots in these areas.  My lower back has extreme pain on left died near my waistline.  I feel like when I stand up, I won't be able to move.  All across my back is a burning
Pain/unvomfortableness....I honestly can't phantom how in the world I will be able to get up and get dressed for work in the morning.  I have taken my two a day limit of hydrocodone and do not know where to turn...also have sores on stomach and my parotid glands, or something, feel sore and I think I have a fever... No one understands how terrible I feel.  I just want someone who has been there to tell me I will make it.

Belsey - I'm sorry you are hurting so much.

There are many different health issues that can be located in the area you describe - from a kidney stone, diverticulitis, strain, gastritis or shingles. (I'm not medical or anything, I just did a search on left side waist pain and this is what came up.)

Here's a link to some information about shingles:  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001861/  does any of this sound like what you are experiencing?

IF you don't feel any better in the morning, I would make a call to your doctor and see if you can be seen by him/her.  Or, maybe, go to a walk-in clinic if you have one of those where you live.

Can you just call in and take the day off work tomorrow?  There's nothing worse than going into work when you don't feel good and faking like you do.  Plus, not being able to concentrate, etc.

I hope you are able to get some rest tonight.

Let us know what you find out.

Bucky

Bucky,  thank you so much for your reply.  I would NEVER thought of shingles.  Upon reading the link you posted there are a lot of my symptoms listed there.  I am thinking of calling my PC to see if he can see me tomorrow.  I will keep the shingles symptoms in mind until then.  Again, thank you and I will post what I find out.

If your PC will not see you, try urgent care or the ER.

Definately go see your doctor as soon as you can that sounds horrible.  Usually these things turn out to be nothing and feel worse than anything else.  I haven't been through exactly what you describe but in this last year I've had a kidney infection and an allergic reaction to medication I was taking and both were scary but turned out ok in the end.
