Title: Simple Home Remedies
Post by: Bucky on February 25, 2012, 03:33:59 PM
This is an older post of mine from three years ago that I just came across . . . brought a smile to my face to re-read it, so I'm passing it along to all our newbies and oldies alike.   ;D

1)  If you are choking on an ice cube, don't panic.  Simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat and presto, the blockage will be almost instantly removed.

2)  Clumsy?  Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them while you chop away.

3)  For high blood pressure sufferers:  simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins.  Remember to use an egg timer.

4)  A mouse trap placed on top of your alarm clock will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.

5)  If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives.  Then you will be afraid to cough.

6)  Have a bad toothache?  Smash your thumb with a hammer and you will forget all about the toothache.

7)  Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are:
      In life, you only need two tools - WD-40 and Duct Tape.
      If it doesn't move but should, use the WD-40.
      It it should not move and does, use the duct tape.

8.  Remember:  Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

9)  Never pass up an opportunity to go to the bathroom.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sidenote:  there were 10 of these simple home remedies.  I omitted one of them on purpose.  Although, it's so cute, I'm going to add it here.  (Just didn't want to give fuel to the guy members).
10)  You can avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat just by using the sink.
                                           LOL   ;D  LOL   ;D  LOL   ;D  LOL   ;D  LOL   ;D
(These are not my originals, I have a file full of things that have been sent to me thru the years.  Hope it has put a smile on your face.)    ;D
Bucky,
I just laughed so hard I almost peed myself!!  They are great!  I especially love the duct tape/WD40 one.  My tool belt for work has a pouch for a small trial size can of WD and a clip for my roll of duct tape.  The only other thing I need is my box cutter and I can fix or disassemble anything!  8)
And my ex would have suggested the tub instead of the sink so there's more room and easier rinsing  :P  :-X
Keep 'em coming!!
That reminded me of my daddy.   He used to say that the best thing for a toothache was to get a mouthful of water and sit on the stove until it boiled.  He said it was a guaranteed way to forget that your tooth hurt.  I sure do miss his cornball jokes and sayings.
Blessings,
Jorja
