Hello, I've been reading about what is recommended to eat (or not) when one has sjogrens. What about oranges? - my fav' fruit. I know it is acidic, but is it O.K. in sm amounts?
O-range you glad I brought up this topic?
I sure hope so I love oranges!! I buy Florida oranges
from the band as a fund raiser in our area and boy
are they great !
Love , harlin
My hubby gets apples for him and oranges for me. It's been hard lately to find good oranges at a price I can afford. My nightly snack! Lucy
Ask your pharmacist if they would have any effect on the medications you are taking. I think they are ok. I just know that grapefruit can affect bp meds. Odd but true.
Thanks for sharing. Where I live (Central CA) oranges are as sweet as candy, so it is good to know that ya'll are eating them too. Have a good weekend.
Do any of you subscribe to "Moisture Seekers?"
Hi :)
I like oranges. My urologist said they were a bad idea because of irritable bladder syndrome but I still eat them.
Take care - Scottie :)
Gosh, I'm so jealous as I wish I could eat them, but anything acidic just kills my stomach...and I loved tangelos & lemons!

Hi,
Again, I think this is one of those questions to just see how you feel when you eat them. As suggested, you may want to check with your doc if any meds would interfere, but if you like them and they don't bother you, I say, GO for IT!! :D 8)
I love fresh oranges and canned mandarin oranges. So sweet and refreshing. ;)
By the way, I laughed when I saw your joke "o-range you glad"... ;D :D Old family joke with that: my mother and brother-in-law used to have "heated" but friendly Scrabble games. One time she played the word "range" and my BIL added "O." My mom looked at the word upside down and said loudly "O-range! What's an O-range? " He teased her for years after that.
Meld, funny about the Scrabble game and O-Range.
Do I really have to listen to my body? It is getting on my nerves! :)
Thats too funny Meld! ;D

I know...listening to our bodies gets annoying, but it really does help me most of the time. I get tired of hearing it, too!
With my body saying "Nope, not doing that today;I refuse." It's like a stubborn child. :P
Yes, the O-Range story. No one could mention oranges in a family group for a long time. My brother-in-law would point to my mom and say "Ask Louise; she'll tell you all about them." ;D
