This is what works for me when I'm feeling a bit low.
A shot of Baileys, a good book and a fat little english bulldog lying beside me. :)
Well, let's see. There are several things that might apply.
Curl up in my bed with music of choice, some chocolate/vanilla twist frozen yogurt and a book ( visual or audio).
I might take a slow walk and all the while observing nature and having a conversation with God.
If it is a day that I feel like driving, I might go to a nearby resale shop and look for bargains. If I find a bargain(s), it can really be uplifting. If not, then just looking at different items help also.

RIght now I am in a Big Downer.
Getting over a baaad sinus infection, my tummy isn't sure what it wants to accept for food yet, my "recovery" is too durn slow to suit me, tired from that and working overtime, ticked at stuff I want to do but I am not up to it yet, I got two of my kitties on medicine right now too, and Winter is just generally depressing anyway! :'(
I guess with me it is read a book and cuddle with a kitty. Tv helps too or browsing the internet. I think things will look up once we get some warmth back in the world!
I love to get lost in a good book and soak in a hot bath with my bubbler mat. If that doesn't work, a nap will. I always wake up in a better state of mind than before :)
For cold weather: in the sunroom, my toy rat terrier beside me, hot chocolate and a good book...to top it off classical music playing softly in the back ground.
Warm weather: sitting out on my patio under the pergola with the sun warming me and my toy rat terrier, diet coke, binnoculars by my side, fountain running and a good book.

When I'm down what cheers me up is a visit with my 9 years old granddaughter or even just a phone call. She loves to come play as she put it with grandma.
Two Advil liquigels, my heating pad, my recliner and a good book. >Ahhhhh!< Relaxation! :)
