This question came up on one of Carebear's posts. I am willing to give my state but reluctant to give much more. Minnesota, USA. I know that if you read my posts you may be able to figure out more. There is always a PM for more information. You do not have to place any more information in a PM unless you want to.

I was born in Queens, borough of New York City, lived in several places on Long Island and on the Connecticut shore before I was 3 1/2, when we moved to New Orleans for a year, then back to New York, then back to Connecticut where I started school. When I was nine I had lived in nine different houses. At that point we moved to Wantagh (Long Island) New York for nine years, where I graduated from High School.
Lots of moving around after that, mostly Long Island and New York City. The big move was to Salt Lake City, Utah, for 22 years, and then to Philadelphia, PA, where I have realized a dream to live in the same building (four different apartments) for another 19 years, with side trips to Jerusalem for a year, and to Mulholland Drive (Los Angeles) for another year. A summer stay in The Netherlands, a few more weeks in Jerusalem.
Now I expect to move out of the *home* building in Philadelphia in the next year.

Close to everything, temperate climate with high housing prices. Supply is extremely low, demand is extremely high. It is not unusual to have a dozen offers on a property in a week with the price getting bid up. It's like the housing bust never happened here.
And the mall is packed with shoppers.
Recession? You'd never guess by the economics of this area.
I live too much in my head, and too much in the future. But physically...

Oh wow! I am just North of you, in Cleveland!
Spent most of my life in Mass., New Hampshire and New York but now in Florida on the east coast and summers on Long Island, NY. Anyone notice that most of us (ex Aussies) are in northern areas...low light. For forever in my northern life I used to be in a constant state of anxiety. I had no nails. Constantly bitten. Now I have sun 12 months of the year and religiously dose myself with Vitamin D....and I don't know if it is related to that...but I don't have the anxiety or drive to murder my nails. For the first time in my life I am not embarrassed about my hands.
this is so interesting~ to see how long the post has been going and the places people live.

I noticed the same thing about Tennessee, and curiously, most of us are in Chattanooga or around Chattanooga. I currently reside North of Chattanooga, but I grew up there.
