Okay all, you know that I'm an ice cream junkie among other bad vices, but I've noticed that some flavors bother me more than others (not dislike or anything, it just bothered the mouth/stomach). That being said, my favorite flavor these days is Peanut Butter Cup by Ben & Jerry's (to die for! ;). Now if they would add some chocolate! :D). What is your favorite flavor du jour?
Patze
Peanut butter or Chocolate with sprinkles :)
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!! ;D ;D (at least "some" of us do!!)
My favorite is: Vanilla!! :D Boring you say? No way . . . you can add sooooo many things to it. Even though I like chocolate ice cream, I will pick vanilla over chocolate.
Bucky
Today, I'd have to say Chocolate mint...gluten free. Yum. But I just polished off two Blondies with chocolate chunks, so I'll keep my distance. ;D
Oh my...so many good ice cream flavors to choose from!! I like to try new ones too when I go to new places....but I think one of my all time old favs is good old Butter Pecan! Yummmmmm!!
Hmmmm.....there are so many! ;)
Cherry Cordial ranks right up there at the top for me, and I love Cookies and Cream, too...good old Vanilla is alright. Like Bucky says, you can add anything to it; chocolate syrup, caramel, strawberries...or all of the above!
I like vanilla ice cream also.It can be used as a base to create so many other flavors.
How about vanilla ice cream with Bailey's Irish Cream liquor and Kahlua? Umm yum, yum.
Orange sherbet is very good also.
I cannot eat too much ice cream. It will make my stomach rumble and tumble and..... well, you know the rest.
Duchess
My favorite has and always Fudge Ripple from Braum's (ice cream and dairy store in OK and TX). It's vanilla with swirls of chocolate in it. But if I can't have that give me vanilla with cherry topping. ;D ;D ;D
Just had a tooth pulled out Thursday so ice cream has been my mainstay! I like vanilla, but my family loves chocolate, so we always have chocolate. Can't remember the brand but love dark cherry ice cream.
Almond mocha!
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough <3
About this time last year Turkey Hill put out a feature flavor for Valentine's Day. It was dark chocolate ice cream with a fudge ribbon and about 5 different kinds of miniaturized Gertrude Hawk's chocolates!!! The best ice cream I ever had ;D. Second to that would be Almond Joy, which is coconut ice cream with chocolate covered almonds...delish!!
Oh my goodness! Didn't think that there were so many ice cream lovers here! All righty then!!!
There were many good flavors mentioned, but Cricket has me interested....hmmmm. dark cherry ice cream? Who is the maker if you don't mind me asking? And then add dark chocolate syrup, serious yummy! :D
Jeepers, dark chocolate ice cream with fudge ribbon and 5 different kinds of Hawk's chocolates MissyLouWho? Turkey Hill sure didn't have that in my area! But will be on the look out for it this year though (not much in chocolate gets by me ;) ;D).
Patze
Hey Patze,
You found the ice cream lovers! ;)
How could I forget my very favorite; Starbucks Java Chip Cappicino - oh my goodness....coffee ice cream with chocolate swirls, and chocolate-covered bits of coffee bean. Ahhhhhhh....(my worst Homer Simpson impression) :-[
Our pregnant daughter told me she went through a gallon of cookies and cream last week; not a HALF-gallon, Mom, (she said) a WHOLE gallon and it was awesome! 8)
I live for Ice-cream :D !!!!!!
My favorite flavour is made by Baskins Robbins and its Pralines and Cream. However, the skinny cow Vanilla - Carmel cone is a tasty bit of yummy too!
Actually, now that I think of it, anything that contains ice-cream with caramel is pretty darn good in my books.
Sending sprinkles for all of your special sundaes,
Daisy
Yummy Daisy, yummy!!! I don't thin Baskins makes a bad flavor of ice cream!
A whole gallon Meld? Seriously?? Wow, and I thought chocolate covered potato chips was a bit odd! ;D
Patze
Meld, you daughter sounds like me when I was pregnant oh so many years ago. All I wanted to eat was ice cream. They say that what you crave when pregnant is what your body is needing. Ice cream has a lot of calcium. My son ended up with really good teeth and bones. He took all my calcium so I got what I needed from the ice cream. I had a friend who craved tacos when she was pregnant. Her husband just thought she wanted to eat all the time.
Patze
Took me ALL day to think of the brand name of the ice cream, I was not ignoring you.
It is Baldwin's dark cherry, the cherries are cut in half so you get nice chunks of it. Hope you find it and try it, may have to send my hubby to get some, lol!
That flavor sound simply delicious. Cherry is my favorite except for maraschino cherries. I really like anything cherry from Kool-Aid to pies to ice cream toppings.
Hey Cricket,
Didn't think that you were ignoring me....lots of very busy people on the board. :)
Baldwin eh? Hmmmmm, need to in search of this weekend! ;) :D
Patze
Yep, don't think Baskins make anything not really good.
I couldn't believe our daughter cleaned up whole gallon, either. :) She's so small; 5' 4" and was 117 lbs. when she got pregnant and she's had problems putting on any weight even though she's eating as well as she can.
The morning sickness really got her til about 6 weeks ago, and she's finally gained a whole 8 lbs. at 6 mths now! So if she's putting away the ice cream, it's ok. She laughed and said "my nutritionist TOLD me to!"
This little baby must be using lots of energy, because our daughter eats like there's no tomorrow and still what weight she has is "all baby".
Think you're right, Madison Granny, that many times when pregnant we eat what's needed for us and/or the baby. You ate chocolate-covered chips, Patze?
When I was a kid, I loved strawberry cheesecake ice cream. Then when I got married I spent a lot of time watching sports and eating plain vanilla ice cream with several tablespoons of peanut butter and chocolate syrup. Then I had a baby and the ice cream didn't like me anymore. Now, just in the last month, I have discovered diary free, gluten free and soy free ice cream. I eat So Delicious coconut milk ice cream - Turtle Trails with no problems!!!! Life is good!!
Winnie
For most of my life just plain chocolate was my favorite.
When they had ice cream with reeses pieces in it, oh yum.
I also love the banana split, but lately while trying to eat a bit better, I have my husband get me a soft serve vanilla cone at McDonald's each time we are there in a week.
They are only 150 calories, I guess because they are lower fat.
You know before the sjogren's, I would have always passed up icecream for cake or something like that, but not anymore. The icecream helps me feel so cool inside.
susanep :)
Yeppers Winnie, I too love So Delicious coconut milk ice cream; don't think that there is any variety that I don't like! Now it liking me is a whole 'nother story! :D
Patze
I really enjoyed my Dilly Bar from Dairy Queen tonight (gluten free)! ;D

I FOUND IT!!!!! It's called Gertrude Hawk's Box O' Chocolates! It's by Turkey Hill and is a limited edition flavor. I was slightly off withthe description though. It is milk chocolate ice cream, with mini dark chocolate raspberry cups, chocolate almonds, white chocolate chunks and tons of tiny chocolate pieces all swirled together. You know I HAD to get it, and it was on sale, too! 8)
Nom nom nom.... :P
Ben & Jerry's Red Velvet Cake and Blue Bell's Banana Pudding.
We both have to go to the doctor later today, because of the whole sinus, sore throat, infected ear thingy. I also have an eye appointment for that.
Before we come home, I will be able to get me one of those soft serve cones. yummy!
A couple of days ago, we took two of our fur babies,(the girls) for their updated shots, and one of them tested for heart worms, so she is on medication for it, and the others are going to get a preventative. Well, after we left the vet,(they were so good), we took them and they got some soft serve in cups. They love it, and we told the vet what we were going to do. :D
susanep :)
