Title: Happiness is . . .
Post by: Bucky on January 13, 2012, 08:49:04 PM
Having your 16 yr. old son come out of his bedroom on a Friday night and play a Scrabble board game with his Mom while Dad snoozes in the living room.

It's been a long time since we've played a board game together.

It was fun!

He won.   :(   :D

What brings YOU happiness?

Happiness is hugging your 21 month old grandson in your arms with his head on your shoulder and he won't let go. Irish ;D ;D

Happiness is also coming home to your own bed after being gone for a couple of nights. There is no place like home. Irish

To Love and to Be Loved - whether it is another person or a little soul in a cat suit.  ;)

Agree with the 3-day weekends.

Happiness is getting to spend time with my son, daughter in law and granddaughter.  I have one of the most wonderful daughters in law around.  She's pretty much like a daughter to me.  How did I get so lucky in that department.  Happiness is also my SJS behaving when we all get together.  It sure behaved really well Christmas and I hope it will when we are all together for my mother's birthday the 28th of this month.  Really any day when SJS behaves is happiness!!!

Me and my dear husband having an evening over at my son's and daughter in law's house for dinner, and then a game of scrabble. All of us being silly, and just having a good time.

Also, just waking up another day at home, and looking outside at the birds at the feeder, and all the trees, and just all the everyday simple, but ever so precious moments.

susanep :) :)           and a little smile  :)  writing this here to share with you my board family.

Going out to eat lunch and asking the server for our bill and being told, "it's been taken care of".   :o   ;D

What a pleasant surprise!

Having an actual 'conversation' with my 16month old grandson over the internet. Admittedly mostly noises and gestures but it was a two way interaction.  :)

 happiness is:

An out of the blue phone call from my grandkids saying

"you know what Granny............."
then all the events of their day come spilling out in vivid and interesting detail!

See my Mother's face Saturday when she had 4 of her 6 grandsons help her celebrate her birthday.  And the icing on the cake was watching her with her 3 great grandson and my granddaughter--her only great granddaughter.
