She came home from the hospital this week, and feeling better now, but
doc said she was a really sick woman. He told her to not be around people with colds, viruses, etc. Told dad he will have to sweep and mop floors. (he was doing it already)
I learned a few things with her in the hospital. 1. Be glad if you are passing gas. ;D
2. It is not always a bad thing to go poopy a lot. ;D 3. If you need a stool softener or laxative then get it at least temporarily. ;) 4. Having a bunch of doctors seeing you at the hospital each day is not always the quickest way to get out of the hospital. ::)

Glad to hear she's home and doing better. You take care of yourself too!!
susanep,
I'm glad to hear your mother is home and feeling better. ;) If I understood correctly, she has some issues with her bowels emptying; is that right? I know many times we don't think of such things being so serious, but they certainly can be and especially for someone older.
The things you learned from her being hospitalized make sense. About gas, my father has always chuckled about his GP's motto: Better out than in! :D
I hope you're able to take a little time for yourself and get some rest.
Blessings,
Melinda
My grandfather used to say, "Let the wind blow free, where e'er you be!"
:D :P ::)
I like it, A66ey!
That's much more poetic than my ex-husband's Scottish grandmother's saying: "S*&# fire and save the matches! ;D
Thanks everyone for your sweet thoughts, and funny ones too. :) I am trying to get some rest now, accept when we over did it today going shopping. But, next few days will get plenty of rest.
I think it may be too that mom's body in general is just slowing down.

Susanep - good news that your Mom is home again. :D
I know it's hard when you are running back and forth, back and forth to the hospital all the time.
Take this weekend and get some rest for yourself . . . I'm sure you could use it! ;)

Susanep,
May I ask how old your Mom is? I know it's tough to see our parents get older and have health problems. It doesn't help our stress.
I wish you some rest and peace for the next few days. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. ;)
