both ND's i talked to were very nice-of course ins doesn't pay, etc.. some of the things we discussed were hair analysis, EDTA (not sure what that is) , testing TH1 and TH2, MSA Machine? Metabolic assessment form? recycle gluthahione? not sure how to spell that one..
I asked specifically about dry eyes and one of them said he has his patients put cod liver oil in their eyes at night from Vit A&D capsules? He also said EDTA-amino acid testing could help the eyes....
any of you going to naturopaths-have you tried these things? if so how much have they helped your sjogrens?? thanks everybody!!

MSA Meridian Stress Assessment, maybe?
The ALCAT testing was, saliva, urine, blood and stool. She sid the dry eyes can be helped by supplements and uncovering the allergens and vitamin defiencies.
There was no hair analysis or cod liver oil in tbe eyes
JellyB-so you go to a naturopath? has it helped with your dryness?
Bring an advocate with you.
cod liver oil in the eyes??
I question cod liver oil in the eyes also. The other things can probably go hit or miss and maybe help or not. But please do not mess with your eyes. Just because someone is a naturopath/or doctor of whatever kind doesn't mean we don't have to keep an eye out for what they suggest. That is one of the very highest uses for our forum here.
My GP is a DO and naturopath of sorts, and I've had a few of the food tests run which turned out to be a waste of $ and time. Just pick and choose what is most impt to you--but not your eyes.
i didnt know about the cod liver in the eyes either... i have never heard of that
Please be careful. If they are suggesting cod liver oil in the eyes, then I'd question any other suggestion they have too.
Ok so i def didnt go to the doc who suggested cod liver oil. lol.. i did go to the other guy-just to pick up paperwork-he wants me to write down everything i eat for 7 days and mail it back-plus there are other questions which i havent looked at yet.. he seemed nice.. we shall see
i have just ordred pure seabuckthorne caps... dr oz suggests this for dry eyes, mouth and other areas... am waiting for them to arrive... suddenly i have dry mouth issues i have not had that the evoxac didnt help....
