that I am turning up my furnace in spite of the fact I am wearing jeans, shirt and a fleece jacket. I am getting colder by the minute and I feel my joints gong to "pain mode". Ugh I will find a blanket too. Everyone keep warm. Our weather is turning cold. Lucy
Lucy - it's cold here to the West of you in Illinois too. The wind is just awful today . . . cuts right through you!
With some money I got for Christmas, I want to get a heavy pair of sweatpants and some warm booty slippers to wear around the house as I am usually freezing and wrapped in a blanket while I surf the internet.
Wish we could fast-forward through winter and go right into spring. :D
Stay warm as best you can.
Bucky
Yes, Bucky I have a heavy, warm pair of slippers I'm wearing now, plus a jacket and gloves. Then a blanket wrapped around me on the couch. I have not been this cold in awhile and I don't even know if I have my "winter" clothes out yet. Actually I never put my winter or summer clothes away and just grab what I need. I need to try and get more active and get my blood moving.
I bet you folks are getting the wind and cold we had yesterday in Minnesota. The wind was just terrible. I thought, at times, that our roof was going to blow off. It is better today but still chilly. It is only in the 20's which is pretty normal for this time of year in Minnesota.
I wish we would get some snow though. We live in the country and that wind makes the house so darn cold. It is much better when we have snow and can push it up around the house to form more insulation.
The dirt has also been blowing around too. This is not good. When we have snow banks and the wind blows we often get dirt that blows in from western MN and the Dakotas. It is so dry here in MN now that my hubby is concerned that with no snow and freezing temperatures the frost will be driven deeper and cause the water pipes in the ground to break. That is no a good thing.
The water pipes breaking can happen in the country between the house and the well, etc and in town from the street to the house. Mother Nature is always in charge no matter what people say. Irish ;D
Windy here in WY today. Eyes getting gritty again. More eye drops for me!
It's cold and very windy here in northern England. I'm wrapped up like a mummy too!
Hope you can keep warm enough to be comfortable.

I've found that I get really, really cold if I'm hungry. Of all things, right?
I guess with the stomach and esophogeal ulcers I may wait too long between meals because my tummy is always a little growly.
I wonder if a good hot meal would help you guys? :D
Yeah, had the wild winds here today, and mix with forty degree weather, whew....chilly!!!!
Stay warm and dry my friends, and hopefully spring will come roaring in soon!
