I put on a new sweater and realized I had got my waist back, that was a wonderful present  ;D 10 weeks of very low carbs has defiitely been worth it! Apart from that, I got a beautiful pearl necklace and some whiskey.

Awwww Engy, that is a great gift indeed!  The love of a child is always top billing with me too!

Treated myself to the Kindle Fire and boy is that fun!

Oh, I'd love to try low carb Kathyx but I love my potatoes so much! Any hints or suggestions welcomed, I've put on 12 lbs. since I started plaquenil but I know it's really from eating too darn much!!

I need a list of GF liquor too because I would like to indulge some on New Years! A good whiskey sounds great.

Patze, best Christmas ever with my kid & hubby. No special reason other than we are all happy. I did get new luggage though with the hopes of surviving a week at Disney in June (I know I'm crazy but I'll do anything for my sweet kiddo)!

Dragon Naturally Speaking, Jeans, "Mad Science for the Geek Dad", and a head cold that I did not want. cough, cough

The best gift was spending the day with our daughter and her in-laws. Watching our 1 and 4 year old grandsons open presents and play with them was great.

The US Marine Corps allowed my son a 2 minute phone call from boot camp this evening.  Normally no calls are allowed and I haven't spoke to him in 9 weeks.  Best gift of the day!!!

I got an iPad!! Really took me by surprise and made me feel pretty guilty as I got my husband a casserole dish that will do hob or oven. I thought he was getting me a slow cooker. Hmmmmm. Also got scrapbooking stuff.
Favourite bit of Christmas was Christmas eve when we had a video link with my son and DIL in Missouri and we saw our grandson having his present 'unveiled'. (It was too bulky to wrap) He's 15 months and LOVES openbing and shutting doors and draws and pushing buttons so we'd got him a play kitchen. (His Mom is a chef) Usually when we are online he spends a lot of time trying to get at the laptop. (Possibly to switch us off!) When he saw his 'kitchen' he was captivated. He really loved it and it was good to see.

Take care - Scottie  :)

Isn't technology amazing! We are so lucky to be able to see or speak to our loved ones thousands of miles away. Anita, what  lovely Christmas gift from your son.You must be so proud of him. When will you next see him?

Scottie, what a joy to see your little grandson with his kitchen. I hope you can get to see him in real life soon.

Nara, spirits like whisky, gin, rum etc are very low carb. If you drink these with sugar free mixers and lots of ice, you should be okay. Enjoy!

Engy, I never considered doing the New Atkins Plan myself. I'd always thought Atkins was bad, but my GP, knowing of my frustration with my weight, introduced me to the new version. I fully reseached it before starting it, and I can say, I have not felt deprived at all.  I read all about the plan here uk.atkins.com. My GP is monitoring me, so I feel confident that I can shift the next 14 pounds over the coming months.

My husband and I bought a 42" 3D tv for the bedroom. I hope to be able to stay in bed in the cold winter months ahead and relax a bit. I am feeling the pain today of the busy weekend.

Sounds like Santa was good to everyone this year!
Love and prayers for all my friends, harlin

Patze, we would love to  :) He wanted a smart TV and a big one. I didn't think it was necessary but hubby rules! We are in the process of hooking it up today. We are a little electronically illiterate. But, we'll give it a try.
Come on over!

The best thing I got for Christmas was to spend the day with my Granddaughter.  Her cousins on her mother side were there too.  One of them was just 1 year old and watching Christmas thru the eyes of a 1 year old brought back so many menories of when my son was that age.  Those are priceless memories to me.

Hubby and I don't exchange Christmas gifts anymore. I forget how many years it has been. Instead we go shopping after Christmas when the sales are on. This gives us a chance to buy something we need at a cheaper price.

We don't want for much and don't go in for any of the gadgets other than TV and computer so we don't get too excited. It is just fun to see the grandkids open their presents. We get together on New Years eve for our Christmas. Guess I had better clean up the house and get some food cooking in the next few days cause son, wife and 2 grandkids are coming.

A belated Merry Christmas to eveyone. I hope 2012 brings everyone better health, good doctors and less medication!!! Irish ;D

Joe, does your software work like you thought it would? I think it sounds cool! Especially if it works!   :D

I got a really cute Thanksgiving decoration -- a turkey standing on a pumpkin with l-o-n-g Tim Burton style legs. I'd had my eye on it for a long time and was delighted!

Also got a vinyl record album of Kurt Vonnegut reading from Slaughterhouse Five from my daughter.  :D  Ah, Kurt.

And Stella McCartney's perfume.

Best Christmas ever!   :D 8) :D

If you are talking of the tones on the web page, Yes they do work. You need to play each tone for 3 to 5 minutes in sequence. It is suggested that you do this twice per day. The tones for ovarian cyst took 3 days, asthma was a month, fibromyalgia was also a month.

i got a sort of 'tidy' for beside my bed from my twin, i love it! it wont be that for long for i tend to make mega uses of these gizmos and doll them up in colours etc. it holds all i need for the night, glasses, meds plus plus, i love it, and its cool.
i gave my twin three photo images and printed them up A4 and spray glued them side by side touching, on foam board, then trimmed, she loved. also joined her up for 'birdwatch ireland' she has been feeding half of irelands garden birds and taking a real interest.
my other family members gave me biscuits, an egg boiler and flannel. my best was a peaceful meal with twin and decorating the table in a safe place, as i have fled danger in a vulernable housing unit.
