Title: Prayers
Post by: Jorja on December 19, 2011, 07:39:34 AM
Woke this a.m. stiffer and sorer than usual.  That's okay but now it's supposed to start raining.  The big problem is our grandson (our daughter's son- she hasn't been home since 09) from TX is coming to his dad's for Christmas and his dad is going to let him spend the night with us Tues.  This will be the first time he has spent the night with us in almost 3 yrs.  We've been able to visit with him each time he comes but not have an overnight.  I don't blame his dad - he has precious little time with his son and wants to savor each day.  But, this year he said he thought we deserved to have our grandson for our own special time.  We are so excited; then, I wake up in pain.

Please pray that I can loosen up and be painfree enough to spend this special time with our grandson enjoying our CHRISTmas together.  He wants Gramma's chicken n dumplings and of course I have to make Jesus' birthday cake.  I don't care if I crash and burn Wed. night . . . just make it thru the time he is here.

Jorja,
I'll be praying for you this week.  Relax when you can, know that God will take care of you.   Grandsons are so special! I have my 4 year old right now.

Oh joy!

The adrenaline and the happiness will keep you going.

Remember, he's the key, all else is secondary.

Keep us posted.

Hugs

Update:

I still hurt and am very stiff; but, with hubby's help Jesus' birthday cake is finished and chicken is done.  The broth is in fridge so all fat can come to the top and be removed.  After I've rested some, I'll make dumplings.

I've decided that I'll begin tomorrow morning with a hot shower and a muscle relaxer.  I don't like taking them but I can 't take ibuprofen and Tylenol doesn't help much.  I used Biofreeze on my knees this a.m. and it caused my asthma to act up so it's out.

Thank you for the prayers and well wishes.  Please keep them up. Just knowing that others care and are praying HELPS.

Blessings,
Jorja

Praying is the only thing I'm really at and I'm praying for you right now.

When bedtime comes snuggle with that nice warn little boy. I'll bet your pains will go away.
That is what I'm praying for you.

Yum, chicken and dumplings was my grandmas best recipe. Haven't had it in years, but I'm craving it now. I'm praying that your visit goes well and your pain level is low.
