Oh brother...what gives...every day is something new! Once I put one fire out...another one starts up. I was eating lunch when all of a sudden I could barely open my jaw! I was freaking out because I had just started a new medicine. But there is nothing really related to jaw probs and Methotrexate!
Anyone else have this? It will be comforting to know. I then convinced myself I was having a heart attack! I must stay off Google MD!
Ugh. :o

Hi, I'm not a Dr., but it sounds like you've developed TMJ. While this is a benign condition, it can be quite painful, and it's also an indication that your spine is out of whack. I know that sounds weird, but if you think about it, "your jaw bone is connected to the neck bone, the neck bone is connected to the back bone... la la la" ;D Seriously though, they are all connected, as Joe's link points to. I've had TMJ since I was a kid, and the only thing that helps is getting lined up. Whether by a chiropractor, or (first choice) by doing yoga. These days it is extremely difficult for me to do a full on yoga session, so now my back is a mess along with my jaw. If you can do either of these things, I think it would help.
I don't know if it's connected to the Sjogren's, but the Rheumy who diagnosed me with it, asked me if I had TMJ.
Hope that helps. Peace and blessings, ~Andrea
