Title: food poisoning
Post by: KellyG999 on December 04, 2011, 05:17:29 PM
Oh sjogrens friends. There is nothing quite like a sudden and severe bought of food poisoning to ruin what was supposed to be a calm and restful weekend. Today I am better, but it feels like weasels chewed up my stomach and then put it back.

Sipping on lemon lime soda and nibbling crackers. My mouth feels like a desert, and bad tasting one.

I hope you are all MUCH better than me. I hope I am feeling human by tomorrow for work.

Take care,

KellyG

Kelly, so sorry about your food poisoning, but I'm glad you're feeling better.  That can really dehydrate you, so fluids are wonderful.  When I get food poisoning, of flu I end love the old fall back of chicken noodle soup, cran-raspberry light, and saltine crackers.

Keep getting better, and hope you can make work like you want!

I think it is worse on us than it is on people who are healthy. Im so sorry you had to deal with that. I hope you are recovering.

I had it once ... after eating at a salad bar at Chucky Cheese in Alabama.
I threw up so hard ... for 36 hours ... couldn't even take a sip of water at the time.
My stomach hurt so bad afterwards I couldn't stand straight for 3-4 days.

Seriously ... been there ... I understand ....

Kelly, I'm so sorry you are suffering like this.  Food poisoning is horrible.  I lost 9 lbs. in 7 days the last time I had it and I was already too thin.

Please be sure to drink/sip constantly so you don't dehydrate.  I found that hot tea helped me.  For 7 days, all I could eat or drink was hot tea and lorna doone cookies.  Weird . . . but true.

Hope you are better soon.  I'll be praying for you.

Thanks, everyone! I am 95% better today. I didn't make it to work, but am putting in a full day from my home office. I am able to do that occasionally...

I figured out it was the Lipton cup o soup. It was near the expiration, BUT it said "new recipe." So I read the ingredients: Chock full of nitrates and MSG-like stuff in disguise.

I appreciate the kind messages.
