Title: flare?
Post by: lea78 on December 03, 2011, 07:19:27 AM
I have had a lot of symptoms recently especially gynacology ones.

All week i have had extreme tiredness sleeping about 10 hours undisturbed each night and not waking up feeling any better for it, i have had very little energy and physically dont feel like 33 years old but older.

Today my partoid gland is swollen and painful especially when i am eating. This is a common symptom for me and been told its not infection but its saliva backing up causing the swelling and pain.

I am wandering with all these symptoms if i have just been having one big flare, i have read posts on here about people having a flare, at the moment i am not able to recognise when i am having a flare and when i am not

I have my works xmas party tonight and need to find some energy from somewhere

Use the mumps tonations for 3 minutes per tone: http://www.chakraforce.com/Tonations.html#228.

Start sleeping with your polar fleece mumps scarf. These two simple tasks will help with the pain in your parotid swelling.

Lea,

I can relate. I am 41. My husband is 12 years older than me and has more energy and vigor. But it isn't fair to compare. AI disease really takes it out of you. I am a bit jealous about the 10 hours of undisturbed sleep. I am up a few times at night, sipping water, using the bathroom, spraying biotene in my mouth. Ugh!

Don't push yourself - although I may be the one who needs to hear that advice. I just spent one hour power cleaning my house. I couldn't stand it anymore. Point is, if you can make the party, great. Go and socialize for thirty minutes if that's all you can do. If you can't go - don't. It probably isn't worth using the few "spoons" you may have left.

Take care,

KellyG

I went to the doctors this morning for some results from last week for abnormal bleeding and they came back clear so i asked could my symptoms be related to sjogrens and also the extreme tiredness and that i have been waking up feeling terrible no energy and a bit sickly.

Anyway she is testing my iron levels and thyroid function and a couple of other things and she is writing to rhuematology to bring my appointment forward so hopefully may get sorted soon, would just love to get up and feel well for a few days i dont like my 2 children seeing me like this

I have my parotid salivary ducts dilated every 6 months by a great ENT to prevent parotid swelling and infections.  Otherwise I do get the infections and they're very painful.  He can only get in with his smallest instrument, and even then, he may not be able to go in one side.  That's happened on a couple of visits, but then he was able to go in the next time.  You might want to try that after your swelling goes down.

I hope you feel better soon,

Debbie
