The CT scan I had yesterday was normal. I am supposed to have those pulmonary function tests next week but I'm thinking about canceling them. Both of my daughters just had surgery today for ear tubes and to remove their adenoids, and my older daughter (4) is just getting over a C. Difficile infection from having too many antibiotics because her ears kept getting infected. I've been at a doctor every day for 8 days straight and I'm burned out!
There's no evidence of anything kind of thickening or anything so I'm not sure there's a point to having those other tests. Not to mention the medical bills are going to drown us at this point! Any advice?
Thanks so much!
Oh mshistory,
It's hard to know. I would think that it is something you could certainly postpone, but I'm sure others know more than I do.
You are having NO FUN at all.
This too shall pass, with the little ones. But it's no fun, for sure.
My younger son had the tubes and adenoids ages ago.
He's fine now (at 41!).
Keep us posted.
Hugs
Elaine
Thank you, Elaine :)
I just have a feeling my pulmonary function tests will be normal too - the only time I wheeze is when I have bronchitis, and my PCP could handle that I would think...? The chronic dry cough, well, so many of us have it but there's not much they can do anyway (especially when the test results are always normal!) I'm mentally and physically exhausted and it doesn't help that it's finals week at the college where I teach and I have a presentation to put together for next week as well!
I need a vacation ;D
