Hello All
I am new to sjogrens and have lots of questions. this one refers to sudden swelling above my collarbone. Drs did chest xray to rule out hodgkins and did an ultrasound which showed it was just fat. FAT?? It literally appeared overnight.
has anyone experienced anything like this? Im glad its not serious but it is quite unsightly :-\
Sure have!!!
And 4 doctors have looked and felt it and they are all puzzled. This was one of my main complaints that took me to my GP over 2 years ago. I've also had them appear on my side near my waist and on my upper arm, and under my arm. (all on the left side) They haven't gone away and remain a puzzle. Even the Sjogrens specialist didn't know what caused them.
Guess I'm not much help, but you have my empathy.
If you ever get an answer, let me know.
I think I may have the same thing, only it's on the inside of the crook of my elbow on my left arm.
It feels like a big old fat pad. My doctor told me something like it's residual infection and scar tissue in the lymph nodes there from when I was bitten on the hand by a spider. I've had it for several years now.
It's not noticeable unless you're comparing it with the other side, or you're pressing your fingers against it.
We are a weird bunch! :P
