So as you may know, I am back at work after a long and wonderful FMLA.
I have been terribly fatigued and freezing in my office despite wearing warm clothes and sweaters. It is making my bones ache even more!!
I can't afford to buy a heater right now, after being jerked around by the short term disability insurance company. So today I brought my trusty heating pad to work. Yep. I plugged it in and draped it on my back. Then I sat on it for a while. Nice!!
Peppermint tea seems to help with the terrible fatigue a bit.
Take care all!!

Hot tea of many flavors help me when I'm really cold and feeling pain all over. My Mom would always tell me when I was sick in anyway to drink a cup of hot tea. I've just recently discovered the joys of tea with honey in it instead of sugar! I also enjoy a cup of just plain hot water or hot water with lemon.

I was going to mention heating pad!! I brought a heating pad to work at first. One of those that you put in the microwave to heat up. Worked great for several months. Until one morning it blew up in the microwave. It looked like Lake Erie mud was dumped all over the inside of that machine. Smelled even worse. ;D
I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. The last year I worked when I was so sick, I always used a heated seat/back cushion, a heating pad for my feet, and a heated rice sock on my neck. Whatever helps . . . I believe in doing.
Prayers for you today.
My mom has those bean bag pillows.....someone made them for her out of those tiny beans and material. Geezz I'd hate to blow those things up in the micro....my mom would probably get down on the floor thinking she's being shot at! Those beans are like little bee bee's from a gun!!!!
Thanks everyone. My vanity has really gone out the window. But whatever works, right?
Gold55, LOVE your signature line about dogs!!!
Hot tea works well for me too. Sometimes just holding it is enough. I also make it by the teapot-full and wrap the teapot in a blanket - it keeps it hot for hours (using one or two teabags).
jazzlover posted a link to various heated products for use at a desk (heatedmouse.com). The USB-powered heated slippers are on my Christmas list.
thank you KellyG. I hope to come back as a dog in my second life ;D
