Title: high blood pressure
Post by: Reanne on October 14, 2011, 12:05:45 AM
I am just wondering how many of us have high blood pressure?  I have been on metoprolol for years.  It controls my heart rate (stays in the 50's) but not my blood pressure.  The cardiologist recently added lisinopril.  I am on low doses of both.  I am going for a sonogram of my kidneys next week to see if I have blockage on the arteries.  I have began having left arm tingling and numbness down my arm to my thumb. The cardiologist thought it was blood pressure related. The rheumatologist thought it was joint related, maybe torn rotator cuff?  I had x-rays but of course that will take weeks to hear results.  :(  I am not overweight and there was no blockage of my arteries in the heart last time I had an angiogram.

Hi Reanne,

I hope you are able to get all your results very soon.  Sometimes the not knowing can cause us so much stress.

I have low blood pressure, though.  Have had for about four years now.  When I was in the hospital recently, it was consistently 121/63.

Take care.  ;)

Hi

I have high blood pressure too. I've been treated for it for about a year now, and it's just about at an acceptable level. However, my heart rate is on the high, rather than the ow side.

Wishing you all the best for your results.

Hugs

As Still in the hunt, my blood pressure can be all over the map.  It looks like it's caused by certain medications.  Without meds it's normal...Very Frustrating!

My pressure is super-low: 90/60. Sometimes I think that's the reason I'm so tired all the time.
