Here we are, a brand new month - September 2011. Along with this new month comes some new birthdays and anniversaries.
We'd like to celebrate the occasion with you - so, if you want, tell us the date of your celebration.

I'll have been married 23 years on Tuesday. DH still makes a big, big deal out of our anniversary. He is wonderful and always makes me feel special.

September 1st is my Birthday, and the 15th is my husband's.
2 Virgo's in one house..........we're the only ones that could put up with each other!!!!! HaHa.

Thanks so much Bucky and Melinda and everyone else for the well wishes.
It hasn't bothered me to be isolated from people until you all wished me happy anniversary and I realized it meant so much. I guess I do miss the social interaction I had at work.
Well, hubby came home mid-day (in between appts.) and brought me flowers and a card. He made dinner reservations for this evening at a restaurant we've both heard good things about. Looking forward to the new experience.

Hi All,
DH took me to a tapas restaurant that Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive Ins and Dives had visited. I didn't realize that until I saw the Food Network logo and Guy's autograph on the wall. That's how hubby had heard about the place. Small, intimate restaurant that only seats 17. Great food and service...was fun ordering a lot of items off the menu.
As I said, he's still a keeper, even after 23 years.

My husband and I will be married 36 years on September 9. We won't get to celebrate it until later since he's a truck driver and will be gone until at least next week. Happy birthday and anniversary to everyone celebrating on this month!!! ;D ;D

I hope you two have a great celebration when he's able to be home. Truck drivers, by the way, are such an important part of our transportation of... everything. Don't know what we'd do without them!

Well, my oldest son's birthday is the 27th. He will be 35 (!) and makes me feel a bit like an old lady to say I have a kid that old. :-[

Why didn't I think of this sooner?
My brother and sister in law have their 25th anniversary on the 20th. Right now they are celebrating the whole week while they are on a Hawaiian cruise! I'm so jealous...have always wanted to go to Hawaii...but so happy for them!
I also have 4 friends celebrating birthdays this month....so there you go Bucky...lots more cake for you!! ;)

Thank you. We had a small pot luck BBQ on Saturday. A friend I know has the same birthdays so we invited only about 24 people. I was concerned that there may be over 40. The cold weather kept the numbers down so I was thankful. The four children that came spent 3 hours running around the back yard playing. The adults visited from about 11 am until about 7pm. Some people watch two children's shows and one adult show. After supper, we started a fire and had smores. I stayed out of the sun by staying in the shade of our variegated Maple. We had tables and chairs out side for 16.
The last guests left by 9:30. Jan was in bed by 8:30.
Today, Sunday, after church. we cooked and served brunch at Ronald McDonald house for about 75 people. I came home and slept for 2 hours. Left over for supper! yum!
Happy Birthday, Joe. Keep'm coming! Enjoy...as the downside of 50 is flying; right? ;)

Forgot menu: Steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs, Brats, vegie burgers from the grill. Deviled eggs, Sauteed mushrooms with garlic and onions, baked Mushroom tops with butter and garlic, Melons, vegie tray, and of course a variety of chips.

Joe, it sounds as if you had a busy and great weekend! Good for you. ;D About 25 people is quite a crowd to me, but sounds like such fun everyone had.
