Title: what should a cauterized tear duct look like?
Post by: valene2009 on August 30, 2011, 07:02:28 AM
ive had cautery-worked great for several weeks but swear it has re-opened a bit.. my doc said it isnt-said he could tell thru the microscope it is closed but my eye is so dry... i of course stare at the closed puncta in a magnifying mirror and i can see a faint line where the puncta was.. is this normal or does it mean the puncta is re-opening?  anyone have any experience with cautery?? thanks guys

I had cautery done about 10 years ago. I don't have a mark there at all, not even a scar.
