Hi  :)

My dermatologist told me to use stuff called "Hydromol" both to wash with and to moisturise with. I don't use it on my face but I use it everywhere else.

Take care - Scottie  :)

Can you buy it in the store or is it a prescription?

I use something called Bliss. It's very scented so might not be good for everyone. When I use it my skin is so soft and people always say I smell so clean..not perfume-ish.

For body moisturizing, I use Aveeno which can be purchased anywhere (Walmart for instance) and I find it to be very good.

Are you looking for something for your face or a particular issue as there are other products I could also suggest if that's the case.

Hi Triple,
My skin is sooooo sensitive, like crazy sensitive, so
I use curel unscented. I slather it all over after I shower, not on my face though. I tried AM lactin but it made me react with itchy bumps, but I hear from this forem that is another good one.

I find coconut moisturiser the best. Put it on when still damp after shower, makes skin really soft

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream! I have two children with eczema and CeraVe cream (there's also a lotion, but the cream is so much better) is AWESOME at maintaining healthy skin. I also use it because I have extremely dry skin - I apply it right after showering while my skin is still damp to seal in the moisture and my skin is no longer constantly itchy, flakes off, etc. and actually looks healthy. For eczema, I use it twice daily on my children, especially right after bathing. I buy those tubs in bulk we go through so much of it around here  ;D

I use Cetaphil in the warmer months, and Aveeno and Nivea in the colder months (the thicker, the better).

I've had really good results with Psorzema, which is free of both parabens and petrolatum. I use it on my face too.

I find I have to do more than just apply a cream to my skin. I only shower every 3 days, unless I've done something that makes me dirty - like digging in the garden. If I sweat a lot from exercise, then I'll rinse off with water - but no soap/detergent because I don't want to wash away my natural body oils. Some people have oily greasy skin - I'm the exact opposite of that and those are the people who can and probably should wash daily. In addition I keep the water warm - as cool as I can tolerate and be comfortable - the hotter the water, again you wash off more of your body oil. I gently exfoliate - our skin is made up of different layers with the first layer deep inside being where new cells are generated leading to the last layers where the dead cells are being sloughed. With certain skin diseases and when we get older these dead cells don't always fall off appropriately and they hang on blocking the proper function of our skin and making it difficult to moisturize our skin. I use one of those nylon buff pads. I also use a very gentle body wash- no perfumes or irritating ingredients and not soap. After my shower I lightly dry off so there is some dampness left in and on my skin which is trapped when I apply a lotion/cream to help rehydrate dry skin. Almost anything oily will work to seal in the moisture - so the choices become what you prefer. Lately I've been using jojoba oil because I find it easy to apply and spread. I've also used olive oil and coconut oil - but wasn't crazy about the smell as I'm sensitive to smells. Almond oil is lovely but expensive. I also used to use body lotions/creams from Paula Begoun and Ceravue and Cetaphil. All of them seem to work as well as the other. If my skin is extremely dry and flaky then I use a chemical exfoliant - my current favorite is very cheap but I  have to order it on line since I can't seem to find it locally. I use it daily on my feet  and find it great to keep them looking like I just had a pedicure - it's called ALPHA HYDROX 12% AHA Deep Therapy Foot Cream by Neoteric Cosmetics, Inc. I have found doing all this has solved my dry skin - when I break the routine - it comes back and is so itchy and irritating.

Check out True Blue Spa products at Bath and Body. They have a great body wash.

As for lotions, I try to use coconut oil.. but it's not the very best it seems. Makes me itchy. I use Eucerin, but it contains chemicals that are not that good for us.

sigh

I try to avoid parabens.

Great topic who doesn't have skin issues with sjogrens? Like most of us I have real sensitive skin. I have found that the best products for me are KISS MY FACE brand. I use both their olive oil soap which doesn't dry my skin and their body lotion all over including my face. I get it online in a 1 gallon jug to cut the expense and I usually purchase 12 bars of soap that way I only have to order once a year. The ingredients are all organic and healthy for the whole body.
