Okay, I know, not any "quality" tv watching these reality shows - but, it's fun to sit there and make fun of them! ;) If you watch the evening news, it's all depressing reports and nothing uplifting - at least watching these reality tv shows, it's mindless entertainment.
Anyone watching Big Brother this season? I can't believe Dani put Adam & Shelly on the block last night instead of Brendon & Rachel!! :o What WAS she thinking?!? If someone doesn't get the B & R duo out of the house SOON - Julie will be handing one of them the check for $500,000!!
We were so happy when Dani won the HOH, then when she announced her nominations, we were screaming at the tv . . . "Dani . . . what are you thinking? Have you lost your mind?" ::)

Bucky, yes, I am watching Big Brother this season and all others. Also, survivor when it starts, Dancinc With the Stars (when it starts) and Bachelorette (it's done.) I watch all those idiotic shows and some others which are very entertaining and informative. I know many do not admit to watching these shows who really do--watch them. I have no shame.
I think Dani was being a chicken this week by nominating the two. But, who ever said any of them have any brains? Look at the two couples! Also no brains, what was Lawlor (sp) doing when he offered himself to leave? Hmmmm, he did just that.
Who will win depends on what the game(s) are. Probably one of the 4 lovers. I do like Jeff and Jordan much better than baldy and whiney. Lucy

My younger brother use to make fun of me for watching Big Brother. "Reality shows are a waste of time and stupid." Then, he sat down and watched it a few years ago and now he's hooked! ;D So funny!!

My sweet "Big Jeff" is gone now. Actually, I think now one of the floaters, or nobodies may have a chance to win now. With two power couples going into the show and throughout th first part of the show, no others had any power really.
Too bad, I really do like Jeff and Jordan, but Jordan won the $$before and Jeff must have won the $50,000. It will be wrapping up in a couple of weeks and now all bets are off and just about anyone has a chance to win. OH NO> Rachel is still there. OH NO. She has won quite a few of the games too. I can see a red streak flying across the Big Brother yard now.
There was a lot of whopping and hollering at our house last night when the "newbies" took control of the house!! ;D Awwww, so sad Jeffy-poo . . . have fun at the jury house!!
You know, the power couples, Brendon & Rachel and Jeff & Jordan are all happy and arrogant when THEY'RE in control . . . then, when the tides are turned and the "newbies" take control, they complain about anything and everything!!
Those guys lie and make promises they have no intentions of keeping . . . hmmmmm, guess it's different when the shoe is on the other foot!! ::)
As much as I like Jordan . . . let her and Rachel cry and boo-hoo and we'll watch Kalia, Porsche and Shelly battle it to the end. I hope one of these three win. Yes, some of them were floaters, but - maybe, that was part of their game plan!
The sooner they get Rachel and Jordan out of the house, the better!

Shelly is a real interesting game player. There have been a number of comments that I have noticed her make that really shows that she knows how to read people. Or at least how to read her fellow players and the situation.
I really hope that she has a chance at being in the final group.
Uh oh . . . Porsche, what a can of worms you opened up!! :o This could spell trouble for your alliance! Hopefully, anyone but Rachel and Jordan win the POV. For a while there, Rachel was on a winning streak in all the challenges. Not so much the last several weeks.
They're getting down to the wire - they've really got to step up the game if they plan on making it to the end.
It's not fair that Kalia's reign as HOH didn't last long. She probably got one day as HOH. But, I bet she didn't care too much as she was able to eliminate Jeff in that short reign.
They haven't had a shopping spree yet this year like they've had in the past. Wonder if they'll have one?
I hope they show us what is happening at the jury house. Would love to see the faces as each new juror arrives and they are all veteran game players . . . NOT the newbies!!

No, they never showed or revealed who Porsche is going to share the money with. My guess would be Kalia.
My guess is that the duo of Rachel & Jordan will be put on the chopping block.
Everyone will scramble tomorrow night to win that valuable POV. Hopefully, Rachel will have another "off" night and not win the POV.

I think Shelley's job is involved in interviewing people. That is putting it on a very low level, but I believe her job has a fancy title and she is skilled in reading people and using persuasion. I would not mind one of the 3 ladies winning, or the lonesome guy left.
I do like Jeff and Jordan, but Jordan won the $$$$ before, so let's give someone else a shot at it. The stories from dying grandma's and I forget what really were a bunch of b.s.

I watch so much reality TV but not this program. I've heard it's real good but just can't add another one to my list. Don't these programs make our lives look so much more simple? They always take my mind off things that are going on with me.

Yeah, I like to watch some of the reality TV shows. I would never want to be on some of them, but I think I could handle Big Brother. At least on that show, you don't have to hunt for your food (like on Survivor) or constantly running from spot to spot, catching planes, driving, etc., (like the Amazing Race). The worst thing you'd have to deal with at BB is if you are a "have not" and have to eat slop. Some of the challenges of endurance might be a little tough - ya know with that pesky Sjogren's and all. ;)
Well, I just watched the latest BB show online . . . . bye, bye Shelly! I already know who won the next HOH (I've got my brother hooked on the show too and he watches the live feed) . . . . all I've got to say about the new HOH is . . . ::) ::) ::)
I didn't notice while watching the HOH competition where Porsche won that Jeff accidentally threw out one of the clown shoes as he was tossing the balls out of the pit. Did anyone else see that during the actual show? He's just sick knowing he COULD have won HOH and still be in the game.
They're getting down to the wire now. They will crown the new BB winner on Sept. 14th.

dj - On Survivor, I wonder if they would allow a person to bring lip balm and eye drops if they medically needed them? Getting water would definitely be a problem! My guess is if you had a medical condition, they wouldn't even consider you for the show.

I just wanted to clarify that I'm ok with BB being preempted tonight for the MD Telethon. I know someone who has this disease and the struggles she has dealing with this disease. The MD Foundation needs funding for research and treatments just like the Sjogren's Foundation needs monies for research and treatments too.
Now, being preempted for football . . . that's another story!! ;)

Yes Bucky...that was so funny with Rachel and Jesse....I didn't think she would open Pandora's box after the last one...but greed or curiosity or both got the better of her...and she paid dearly for it...lol!
Anyway...I absolutely cant wait for the new Amazing Race to come on....it is my other favorite reality show in addition to BB. I do watch Survivor as well...but am not as hooked as I used to be...but I still keep up on it...guess I'm hooked on reality TV in general....lol!
Oh I'm adding Dancing With The Stars as another one I like to watch...I have always liked to watch people dance and watching those who have zero to little experience learning all of the steps is pretty fun!
I think this coming week is final BB show. Not sure which day because of the ceremonies of 9/11 that will be going on. I believe Rachel, Porsche and Jessie (the lone male-I am having a senior moment on his name.) are the final 3 and there will be an elimination on the final show. Now, I hope I have this right.
I would not be unhappy if the male (Jessie) won. He has gone through the game without doing too much harm. Jordan has already won this once and if she's broke already then she has had a good run with money. Rachel is just plain a whiner and I'd rather she not win. Remember her whining and hiding in the bushes because she lost a competition. I must say she has been good at competition. Her boo boo would be very happy. Anyone who has lasted this long deserves to win.

Out of those three, I hope Porsche wins. Adam hasn't been too good in the competitions (until the last two, where they really mattered). He was a big floater all season (and idolized Jeff). I don't care for Rachel, she would drive me nuts - although, I will say, she IS a fierce competitor. But when she loses . . . ::) I don't really remember the very beginning of the show this season - but, I do know Porsche's name came up a lot as they wanted to evict her.
Through the years my reality TV watching has changed. It use to be that I "planned" things around the shows (can't go get groceries, The Amazing Race is on) - etc. ;) I'm not that bad any more. If I miss a show, no biggie (I can watch it on-line later).
I use to really like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette - but, that show has changed. The contestants are getting stranger and stranger. So, I'll pass on watching that show.
I do like The Amazing Race (although, all that running from pit-stop to pit-stop wears me out . . . LOL).
I like Dancing With The Stars too. I always root for the underdog. It's kinda not fair when they have celebrities who have dancing experience. To me, it should be about non-dancing celebrities being taught how to dance by the professionals.
They have to learn so many routines in a short amount of time. I would be mixing up the routines!! ;) Plus, they are trying to get more and more elaborate when it comes to the freestyle part - everyone is getting hurt.
Another show I like is The Biggest Loser. It's amazing the transformation of the contestants. A lot of hard work with trainers that push them to the brink.

I do not want Rachel to win. It was not fair that the couples are assigned are second time through and are already a couple. That gives them an automatic head start. I used to like Rachel's boyfriend, but now I don't. I still like Jeff and Jordan.

My husband has the last BB ready to record. With his work schedule lately, he hasn't been able to keep up. He gets up for work at 4 a.m. so he won't even be able to see the start of it.
I'm looking forward to Survivor; one of my "guilty pleasures" I guess. So the DVR will be working overtime. ;) Got the last BB and then the first Survivor ready to go!
Well, in my opinion, the "newbies" handed the win to Rachel . . . when they had the chance to evict her, they didn't. Of course, if Shelly had voted for Porsche, she would have won. Shelly, Shelly, Shelly . . . . ???
With that said, Rachel DID play to win. She won a lot of competitions. Although, I would have liked to have seen a newbie win.

Yes, Rachel did play a good game...but I was still disappointed to see her win with the way she treated others throughout the summer!
And yes....I was also VERY surprised that Shelley voted her to win...whats that all about???
