Title: Nasal Sprays - Pretz
Post by: namakb on August 15, 2011, 02:00:01 PM
Does anyone use Pretz nasal spray? If so does it work better than other sprays for nasal dryness?

My ENT doctor advised me to try Pretz which I did. For me, I had to order it off of the internet as that is where it was available. I thought it was good and helped a little bit, but didn't notice any big difference with my dryness so I stopped using it on a regular basis.

I do know that there are several people here that have also tried it and really liked the results...it's all so individual.

Try to type in Pretz nasal spray on the search area above to see more peoples opinions who have tried it. If you decide to try it, I hope it helps you out....let us know! :D

Pretz used to contain the preservative benzalkonium chloride so I avoided it.  However they are making it now without that preservative.

My experience was about the same as LynnMarie's.  I don't believe it made the dryness worse like homemade saline sprays but didn't think it helped so discontinued.

There are people that have plenty of mucous and need to clear their sinuses and prevent infections. For them Pretz and straight saline sprays can work well.  Since I am bone dry, I need to be extremely careful about not using anything that dries / irritates the tissues.  It truly takes trial and error to identify what works best for you.
