Summer may not be the best time to forge ahead with plans to start up a meeting, but logic has never interfered with my thinking before.
I've seen posts from people from Knoxville and Chattanooga, and I live right smack in the middle, Athens. I've mentioned before that there's a Crackerbarrel on exit 49, and I'd like to propose a meet-up there for any interested East Tennessee Sjoggies either this Saturday, July 9th at 5 p.m. or the following Saturday, July 16th, at 5 p.m.
Is anyone interested? If so, which of those dates / times would be best?
I think that I can do the 16th, and possibly this Sat. Request: could we make it 4:00, to ensure that we will have time to visit and still get home before dark? (Some of us have night blindness.)

Our lunch and time together were great! It's always nice to make a new friend, and hugging a fellow sjogie is extra special. I recommend that you get together with other members any time you have an opportunity to do so.

I second that! It felt like a luxury. What a sense of wellbeing to be able to tell someone (who, by the way, has the same weirdness going on with the skin on her forearms as I do!) that I sleep ten or more hours a night, and not have her face change to shock or pity. I knew that I wasn't going to be judged and found to be lazy or a hypochondriac. As an extra bonus, Cheryl is a great person! Lucky me!

I met a person from Indiana on another forum,, we decided to meet and now our familys are like one,, we try to visit each other often,, her husband and I hunt together, some things are meant to be,, glad you had a good time,, never pass up the opportunity to meet someone that has the same prboems you have,, at least tehy get it

I, too, had the pleasure of meeting Cheryl this year for lunch (as I was visiting in TN from IL). It just feels like an instant sisterhood with someone who knows what I'm talking about when we discuss Sjogren's. :D
I also, had the pleasure of meeting another member here that same week, Newhorizons - again, an instant sisterhood with someone who "gets it". :D
I know other members here on our forum have met up at the Sjogren's Conferences that have been held.
Wish we could all travel to one spot and have a Sjogren's World get-together in person. Unfortunately, that isn't possible, so we'll just be cyber Sjogren's friends from afar.
