Title: Weather
Post by: Cheryl on April 27, 2011, 03:01:41 PM
We are under the third tornado warning for today, with more storms headed this way.   I hope all of you and your families stay safe!  We are headed for the basement again...

Hi Cheryl

Thanks for updating us.  I've been trying to follow the weather in the USA from across the Atlantic and it looks pretty scary.  Just stay in that basement until it's safe to come out again!

Thinking of you all - Chickpea

These tornadoes will just not let up!!   >:(

Stay safe Cheryl!  Sleep in the basement if you have to tonight - these storms seem to hit late night or early morning.

Praying that all will be well with you and your family.

Hugs,
Bucky

Stay safe, Cheryl!  ;) We are on our 3rd warning, too, in SE Kentucky near the TN border. Storms will not let up!

Hope everyone in this mess takes cover if needed and can get SOME kind of rest tonight.
Blessings,
Melinda

Hi Cheryl  :)

I hope you are safe - and everyone else living in tornado country.

Tornado watches and warnings are something not experienced in the UK and I found sheltering in a basement the other night in the US a whole new experience.

Seeing the devastation caused near St Louis - for real and not on TV - really brought it home how terrible these storms are.

Truly hoping everyone is safe and well.

Take care - Scottie  :)

Just reporting in to say that my family are all safe and unhurt.   Many tornadoes touched down in our general area, but near me there are only trees down and power outages.  There is widespread damage and tragedy throught the southeast.  I hope you are all safe.

Thank you for all the good wishes, prayers, and hugs!

Cheryl - I'm glad you and your family are safe.  I've seen pictures from your town with the downed trees.  Did you lose any trees or have any damage?

The main tornado season hasn't EVEN started yet  (May) . . . I can't imagine it being more active than it already has been for the month of April!!

The last few days have been horrible in so many parts of the country...my heart just breaks for so many who lost loved ones.

Cheryl, I'm glad you and your family are safe! Thanks for letting us know. We had some flooding of roads, trees down and things blown around but nothing too bad at all, although just 10 miles from here there were large trees down on homes and cars.  The worst that happened at our house was a wind picked up my 5-ft. tall potted palm on the porch and deposited it out of the pot in the yard.
