Title: Finders . . . Keepers
Post by: Bucky on April 13, 2011, 11:48:17 AM
Yesterday, while I was dusting in the living room, I moved some things that were sitting on the book shelf so I could dust there.  These have been sitting there since Christmas morning.  Do you ever "see" stuff, but it's been there so long, you don't see it?  Does that make sense?

Well, I decide to "look" at these few papers.  One of them was an instant, scratch off, lottery ticket.  I look at the ticket . . . . look at the numbers . . . . and think to myself . . . Woohoo, I've just won $15!!   :o

I'm not 100% sure this is MY lottery ticket - as a family tradition, we all get each other instant lottery tickets in our stockings for Christmas.  Now, granted, this ticket (which was already scratched off) - has been sitting there for the last 4 months!   ::)  It was however, sitting in the bookshelf, and I sat next to the bookshelf to open my Christmas presents.  So, I'm thinking . . . finders / keepers . . . it's mine!!   ;D

Just in case, I turned it in today and have "my" $15.   ;D

I think "mum is the word" to my hubby and son.

It is so nice when I "find" money.  Actually, this happens quite often for me.  When I get a card and it has money in it, I usually leave the money in the card.  Then, I end up putting the envelope away in a drawer.  Later, if I happen to be looking through my cards I "re-discover" it again later.   I know I have a birthday card from my Dad last year that has $50 in it . . . hmmmm, wonder where I put that card?!?   ::)

lol I see it this way, if it was someone elses $15 and they forgot about it this long then yep... Finders keepers :) I'd take it and treat myself to subway since that's "my favorite" place  ;D

Not sure if I just don't see things or I just tend to ignore them lol

Bucky, Sounds like you have that old disease called " I think I will put it away where it is safe and then you can't find it again on purpose". It is the accidently finding it that makes it so special. Irish ;D

So nice when that happens. I found $10 once in the pocket of a suede jacket I only wear for special occasions due to cleaing it is sooooo expensive.

Hi Bucky,
Enjoy your cash find!!!   To me finding money in pockets or somewhere unexpected in the house is the only upside to "brain fog"!

Brain fog finders keepers, it goes with the territory. 9 tenths of the law. Its even constitutional.
