Title: Daughter
Post by: angielyn on April 01, 2011, 03:50:41 PM
My daughter is going to be induced to have her baby tonight. She is 2 weeks over due. HOPEFULLY this all goes nice and easy and smooth. Not sure how I'm going to get through this being in a heck of a flare... Be back whenever she decides to have this baby  ;D

Well guys... I can STILL CRY TEARS  ;D But ugh does it burn...

Baby is here and OMG he is just the best little thing since sliced bread lol. BUT also the worlds worse thing I had to see. I mean wow doing it yourself is one thing but seeing your own daughter ughhh having a hard time in so much pain. Uhhh it's just not a good thing :( Long story short. After 17hrs she was ready but little baby wasn't even 2 weeks overdue. The epidural really did not work so great for her, he was facing the wrong way, cord around his poor little neck and ugh she tried so hard to have him but after 3hrs of pushing she ended up with a c-section. She had to be put to sleep due to spiking a fever  :'(

BUT Mommy is now doing good and was in recovery on morphine so feeling good while baby was in the NICU doing great. OMG he's sooo darn cute and so alert haha NO one was able to hold baby until mommy could :D Soooo maybe tomorrow I will get to hold him.

ME, I think mentally I'm worse then physically. I did not like seeing my little girl in all that pain at all. Ughhhh  :-\

Congratulations on your new baby grandson!!!  Glad both he and your daughter are doing OK.  Sounds like it was a hard delivery for all of you!  Hope you get to hold him tomorrow.

I did get a call and mommy was able to hold her little boy!!! Aww  ;D Much happier.  She had told her boyfriend if she can't hold him she wanted me to hold him first and I said no... no one is holding him until mommy gets to hold him :) We can all wait since she has to wait.

Long long lastnight, today and tonight  :o

Congrats to you, your daughter, and the whole family! So sorry to hear that it was a difficult delivery but glad everyone is ok and improving slowly...I'm sure being able to hold her new son made it all worth it!

Let us know when you get to hold your new grandson...how exciting!

Glad things are OK now.  What a blessing.  I know it had to be hard to see your daugter suffer that way, but now think of the joy she feels just like you did with her.

God bless you all.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby grandson - and to his mum and dad too! How much did he weigh? Does he have a name? Would love to see a picture when you get one.

Yep mommy is doing much better today, still on antibiotics but no more fever since last night! Baby is doing just GREAT! Oh man he's just such a little doll. I thought having a baby was amazing but wow seeing your baby have a baby... there are just no words for that  ;D

I am soooo wore out! With her long hard labor and fever and worry. Oh boy I should sleep great tonight for a change :)

Thank you all and yes he does have a name. Logan Avery. He was 7lbs 4oz (although with moms belly we thought at least 8lbs lol) and 20 3/4 inches long.

First pic. he was in the NICU (cause mom had the infection and fever)

Here he is not even 5 minutes old on his way to the NICU.

Hi  :)

Lovely photos and so glad Mom and baby are both fine. Having gone through it with them you will be closer than ever!

He looks really alert for a newborn!

Take care - Scottie  :)

Yes he was very alert. Everyone had to laugh cause he was wide awake. We went up to the NICU to see him (couldn't hold him) and every time I'd talk to him his little eyes would look right in my direction. We were laughing and I said, maybe I sound like his mommy to him. He would just look and look. And he has such big dark eyes.

I just called her to see how they are doing and I hear his crying and he say call me back haha  ;D

I love her to death and already love him more then anything. She wants me to come Wed. to help her. Right now I'm ok and I can help her, but I'm so afraid I'll go into a flare and can't. It will kill me to say no but when I flare I'm done... I can't even help myself  :-[ In the past year I haven't gone more then 2 to 3 weeks feeling this good and still not "good" but I can function. I know I'm due to feel like total "blah" soon. Then all the anxiety and no sleep or eating much since Friday... And most likely working myself up even more then I should be haha  >:(

What a beautiful baby boy. You must be bursting with pride. We have a Logan - Logan James, and he's 4. I was there when his baby sister (Mia Grace) was born, which was fantastic. I'm actually his dad's mum, and never thought I would see any of my grandchildren being born, so it was wonderful to be asked to be there.

Sending positive vibes for your grandma duties.
