I tuned in the BBC this morning and heard this the pictures were of Japan. They mentioned Hawaii but I did not get the exact number. They are waiting for the Tsunami to hit but thing it will not hit Canada or the US. The main concern is a Nuclear Reactor that is not shutting down in Japan. No mention of rescue efforts yet.
Horrible. (Understatement, but I am speechless.) I live in Oklahoma and have an acquaintance in Honolulu and a friend in SF, Ca. Ca. was okay. People in SF even went to the beach to watch. Ding dongs. Hundreds dead, I just read, in japan.
Anyone here that hasn't checked in??
Prayers!
It is a terrible tragedy for certain. What is also very disturbing is the news about the Japanese Nuclear Reactor having issues. I am praying that they are able to get this under control before a complete meltdown happens.
No one wants another Chernobyl!
Last I saw the hundreds may turn into thousands. Terrible tragedy. Tsunami elsewhere doesn't seem to be as bad as initial predictions. Situation in Japan is dire though. :(
Such Devastation!!! I can't even begin to imagine what these people are going thru.
I had an email from my aunt in California that my cousins living in Japan are all fine. She had spoken to each of them on the phone. I have not yet heard from friends in Tokyo, but my guess is they are fine, based on my cousins' reports.
The devastation is unimaginable, in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. There is no way to prepare adequately for something of this magnitude. It makes you realize again just how fragile and precious life is.

Positive thoughts and prayers go out to all the people affected by this terrible tragedy.

I was wondering about your relatives. Thank God they are okay. My prayers are with all those poor people in Japan and that region.

On the news today, I saw these poor Japanese people standing in line waiting for supplies. No one was stealing, no one was yelling, they were waiting patiently. When asked why, one said they will wait their turn since they were all in the same predicament. We know what the Americans would be doing. I am praying for these people to have peace in their hearts for their lost love ones. It so sad.
