Title: waiting up for 17 yr old
Post by: sis on February 12, 2011, 08:57:12 PM
Thanks for helping me stay awake!

Having a 17 yr old out late is so nerve racking!!!

I swear she is my main migraine trigger.

Love these kids so much.

I wish I could be well just so I could be the mom I want to be - used to be.

Everything changes.

I unnerved my daughters when they were that age. I was a light sleeper I would leave the lights off and when they came in I would ask them how their night was. If they spent a long time before coming in I would ask them if they had a good visit before they came in. Once about the visit was enough to keep them short there after.

Oh goodness help me! I am not there yet. My oldest is a boy and he is 13, I am so scared with all my children knowing all the bad stuff happening to children.
I remember my mother waiting up for me, but I am an only child so my parents were more strict than most. I was such a goody 2 shoes that my parents had really nothing to fear (of course you could not tell them that).  However, my husband's past is another story :-X.  We are very open with our children, we don't tell them they won't do something, we say when you do this...call us immediately and we will be there.
I am soooooo scared.
