Hello Alicea  :)

Welcome to Sjogren's world. It's all too common for people to feel unwell for literally years before they get a diagnoses. I hope you have the riight tests and get the results soon. It's important to persuade your doc to treat your symptoms, whether they get a definitive answer soon or not.

I hope you find the site useful.

Take care - Scottie  :)

Hi alicea - welcome.

Many of us have had odd pieces of the puzzle of our health for years - then, all of a sudden, bingo - things start falling into place and we get a little clearer picture that all of this is related.  Individually our symptoms don't mean a whole lot, but, put them all together then, yes, they do mean more.

If there is a specific topic/subject you are interested in knowing more about, if you put those words in the search box to the top left of this page - it will take you to previous threads about that topic/subject.  If you can't find what you're looking for, by all means, start your own thread.

Don't be discouraged if any of your tests for Sjogren's come back sero-negative.  Many of our members have this.  They still have all the symptoms, just not the positive bloodwork and their doctors are willing (most of them) to treat their symptoms anyhow.

Welcome and I hope you find this site helpful to you.

Bucky

Alicea,

I'd also like to welcome you to Sjogren's World!  ;)
I'm sorry to hear you're feeling so ill...one thing that's wonderful about this forum is that we understand and care. Lots of us have different symptoms from time to time, but we all support one another through those struggles and give encouragement.

The journey to a diagnosis can be difficult on us. We all have our own little stories about that. As Bucky said, some of us (like me) do not have any blood markers to prove Sjogren's but have ALL the symptoms. The most important thing is that you get treatment for the issues you're having.  I wish you patience and strength to find that treatment.

Please feel free to jump in a thread, ask any questions and we will help in any way possible.
Take care,
Melinda
