Hi all my wonderful friends,
This morning at 1:59 our first grandson was born
He weighed 7lbs 11oz and was 22 inches long
My son and daughter in law didn't want to know what the gender of the baby was before it was born. They would not even tell us a name that they picked out. So secretive haha
Anyway the nurses and Dr sent up all out as she began to push the baby out. We waited in the waiting room for about 1 1/2 hours and then the nurse came out to tell us we had a baby that weighed 7 11 and was 22 inches long but they could not tell us what we had. Said the parents want to tell us theirself. We again waited until things were ready for us to see them. After awhile the nurse came back in and told us we could go in. We went over to the bed to get a look at the baby and my son the daddy said "what do you think it is?" I said when I looked at the baby "a boy" everyone else said "a girl" . He then looked at me and said your right! It is a boy! I just knew it after I saw the ultrasound and the baby looked just like my son. Then he told us that his name is Cole James after my son and my husband! We were so excited that of course I cried. We returned home about 3:30 this morning. Well I was so excited that of course I couldn't sleep. I was just dozing off about 8 and my son called. I gave up and got ready, went shopping for little boy outfits and then went back to the hospital to get a peek at Cole again. I didn't get much Cole time as there was so many people around that wanted to hold him also. It is 7:58PM and I am still so keyed up that I cannot sleep.
Well tomorrow I am going to watch my little girls again and hopefully can get another peek at Cole again.
I feel truely blessed and am on cloud 9 that I have 2 beautiful little granddaughter and 1 very handsome grandson
Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts.

Congratulations Grandma & Proud Parents and family. ;D
I've been watching this board all day hoping to hear some good news.
Cole James is a healthy weight. I bet he looks filled out and not wrinkly like some newborns of smaller birth weights.
How exciting. Enjoy your new grandson!

Congratulations Harlin! Glad mother and baby are doing fine! Hope grand-ma's doing fine too! :)
Thanks everyone!! I just returned from the hospital. Everyone is doing great. Dad is a little tired but Mom is doing wonderful. Cole passed his hearing test and was getting his circumcision when I left. Poor baby hope it didn't hurt to much!!
I just had to go in today I needed my Mamaw fix. I love him so much all ready!! He is so cuddly and I think he knows his Mamaw already. He snuggles right down into my neck when I rock him. His eyes were open this morning when I got there and I know he knew me. He is so calm and peaceful. He has a ton of dark hair and I swear he looks like my son. It could be that I am imagining it. Maybe I am alittle parcel. Oh, how I love that baby!!
I was suppose to watch the girls today but their dad stayed home from work today. Made me sad since I haven't seen them for a couple of days. I really miss them. I know, I know it has only been 2 days! haha
I live for these grandbabies, they are my purpose for living. You suffer thru the pain just to be with them.
I was playing with Marissa {3 yrs} on Friday and thru my hip out again. My husband says to me "what are you doing you are going to mess your hip or shoulder up again. YOu know I just can't stop playing with them no matter what the circumstandes might be. Thats what Mamaws are for!!
Thanks my friends I know I am rambling but these are my babies and I love them sooooo much

I had goosebumps of excitement as I read your post, Harlin. Congrats to your family as you celebrate the addition of your grandson. What a wonderful tribute to your husband. I bet he's very proud of his namesake!
Yay! Congrats Grandma and welcome to the world wee one. So glad to hear that everything turned out so well and that lil Cole made his way Earthside w/o any complications.
<3
I can tell you are a happy Mamaw.
May he grow up healthy and wise.
congratulations.
Thanks everyone! He is a true blessing from Heaven!
I took them dinner last night and got to hold him for about an hour. He just fits in my arms. Mommy and Daddy are doing fine. They got home about 4:00 in the middle of the snow storm. Jimmy said he drove so slow he was scared to death with Cole in the car. They had him bathed and fed by the time we got there and he was asleep in daddys arms. I fixed their supper and took him to rock. Wow it is amazing how much you love something so much after only 2 days!!
I miss my girls, I haven't seen them since Sunday. I might have Jim take me tomorrow to watch them. They live about 30 minutes from me and Cole lives about 1/4 mile. I will be watching him on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the girls on Monday and Wednesday. I can't wait! I just hope my health holds out.
Thank you all so much for your well wishes. I know I am rambling but I want to share my happiness with my dear friends!
Love you all, harlin
