Hey all,
I live in southeast TN. When I went to bed last night, the snow had not reached us yet. At 6:00 AM, there 9 inches on my deck, and it's still peppering down. It's a beautiful sight for those of us who don't see it often. The downside is that we're expecting freezing rain later today.
I hope none of you loses power. Everyone stay safe!
Cheryl
Hugs Cheryl and I hope that you and yours stay safe and warm.

Hi Cheryl,
It's supposed to be heading our way (NC).
We have to pick up our grandkids today cause they have an early release due to the expected snow.
Well, it keeps life interesting, I guess.
Hope everyone stays safe and warm.
Kisses
Elaine
It's beautiful until you have to drive in it! I hate the thought of freezing rain--it makes the roads treacherous!
Stay safe, our Southern Sjoggies!
Cheryl,
Well, I see it arrived during the night! ::)
You should gather up some snowballs and freeze them to pull out for the grandkids this summer. ;D Make sure and get some pictures!!
I'd much rather have snow than ice - although, you Southern people aren't equipped to handle snow like we Northerns are. Stay home and enjoy it looking from the inside out.
I hope you don't lose power.
Take care,
Bucky
Thanks for the good wishes; I hope all of you are safe and warm, too. Frozen snowballs, huh? Might be fun... :)

Hi Cheryl, It's Joy up I-81 saying for once it missed us... just 3-4 inches. Understand from noon weather forecast, it is heading up to the northeast.
Hubby is out checking cattle at two farms and filling all the hay feeders. We have heifers separated from others so they can get in shelter if they need a dry place to have a calf. It is to be 0 degrees later this week which is so hard on all animals.
Went out to fill the bird feeders...earlier this morning. It is cold but no wind...25 degrees is not that cold without wind.
Cheryl, Sull. Co. has canceled midterm exams for the first time ever. Kids have already missed so many days and it will be well into June before we get in 180 days. I loved snow days before retiring from school system though now find the snow is not as 'exciting' as it was when teaching.... Miss the excitement my school of 600 K-5 brought to me when it started snowing and we were at school...
Apologies for reminiscing about days gone by at K-5 school...only got to stay 20 years and retired on disability. EnJoy this day.LOL
Central Oklahoma here! :) We have some snow, but trace to an inch today. Wet stuff. Last yr we had 3 blizzards! WAY weird for Oklahomans, but I LOVED it because I grew up all around the country (my dad was in the media biz), and wanted my kids to see some REAL SNOW....not the trace that makes the local media go crazy. HAH! ;D You all stay safe!
We on the Canadian Prairies just got a dump of two FEET of snow, AND the temperature is dropping down to -40 with the wind chill.
Only five more months of winter... :P
Carebear,
Sounds like you have a "little" bit of snow! ;) I cannot even imagine -40 . . . . brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Stay warm!!
Bucky
Hi Bucky,
"But it's a dry cold", everyone tries to tell you. Huh...And my favourite is "It's okay if you dress for it."
I talked to my cousin in extreme Northern TN on Sunday night. They were closing all the schools and some businesses were closing too. Not sure how much snow she got but they were expecting at least 4 inches.
PS: I heard Atlanta, GA only had 4 snowplows for the whole durn city!!!!
