Title: Definite Diagnosis
Post by: Diane54 on December 20, 2010, 09:53:53 AM
I just got back from my first visit with a Rheummy and I have a definite diagnosis of Sjogren's! She changed my Salagen to Evoxac. She made me an appointment to go back to my liver doctor to make sure all is well with my Autoimmune Hepatitis before she will start me on Plaquenil. I am sooo relieved that things really went my way! She said that the Schimer's test is as good as any blood work in her opinion since 40% TO 50% patients of Sjogren's are sero-negative. She did run one more test to rule out lupus and I had a blood test to once again check my vitamin D. She was wonderful, took her time and really gave me and my husband straight talk about Sjorgren's!

  Wow , Brilliant Diane!
treasure her, if only it was as easy for everyone.
It's half the battle if youve got such back up.
                                      Well done,  Dolly.

I'm so happy for you Diana!  Lucky, lucky you!!!!

And I find it interesting that she says 40%-50% of folks with SJS are sero negative.

Again congratulations!

I'm so happy for you Diane! :D
Now you can finally start treatment and hopefully get some relief soon.

You Rheumy sounds great, just like mine.
Definitely a keeper!
