Okay...I 've read a little this morning and think the subject needs changing...
Here's my attempt. Let's share something we have enjoyed this week despite our SJS. Even if it was as simple as a loving hug or our favorite tv show.:)
I'll go first...
Despite feeling like I was run over by a truck this morning, my two darlings convinced me to help them make cut out cookies. Though I struggled to frost them all so they could decorate... the smiles on their faces and the cookies that have so many sprinkles on them one will put you in a sugar coma put a smile on my face.
Great topic Littleme.
Aww, that sounds so delicous!
You should send some cookies to Belgium, because I am hungry now. :D
I'm sure that seeing them smile is just priceless and adorable.
Simple things like that really can brighten someone's day. :)
I also have something to tell:
Yesterday I have received an E-mail from a long lost friend, we used to talk every day and we were best friends.
It was so wonderful to be able to catch up again and laugh together.
I love this thread Littleme!
You've inspired me to make cookies with my little guy today. My legs feel like jello so we'll be sitting to do all of it-- but we're going to try.
This week, despite Sjs, I've gone shopping twice, wrapped presents, and last week I spent a couple of hours at my son's school. That was a huge deal for me. I'm so grateful to have been able to do it
Thank you for this thread.
Tomsmom, that sounds so lovely!
I hope you had fun with the shopping, wrapping presents, ...:)
My something fun was just bathing my two small grandchldren. It's amazaing how much fun bath time can be when there s a toy teaset in amongst the bubbles.
Then, for the very first time, young Logan was allowed to sleep in the top bunk, and his little sister has graduated from the travel cot to the bottom bunk. They were sooo excited that they are both now in bed, and it's only 6.45pm :)

We woke up to snow today so seeing my youngest's face with her bff who stayed the night this morning...made me smile and remember those days waiting for snow! Makes recess duty bearable when the kids are enjoying it so much!:-)

Hi :)
The group of women I sing with on a Saturday broke up for the holidays today, with a performance in a world renowned music venue (where we are lucky enough to practice every week) and also had a mini party with food I probably shouldn't have been eating - but thoroughly enjoyed and also a glass of wine. Lovely way to spend a Saturday.
I'm all out of 'spoons' now because I went out with friends last night. We went to see a band and spent quite a lot of time dancing. Tomorrow I sleep!!
Take care - Scottie :)
Thursday evening my husband was out and so I picked up my sister and went driving around the city looking at Christmas lights. It was a lot of fun for us. And today my husband and I went picked out our Christmas tree and just now set it up. I'll rest a bit and then start decorating.
The tree is my favorite thing for the holidays, but it is more and more difficult to take the time and effort to decorate it, so we have been getting smaller and smaller trees. I can't get up on a step stool anymore (too dizzy) so everything has to be reachable from the floor. It is still fun though.
Thanks for thinking of this topic!

I loved reading all of your happy moments. I have to say, one thing I learned this summer when my world felt like it was closing in on me due to the SJS symptoms is that I need to enjoy the simple moments. I need to make sure I do things as I feel like it or need to. My kids are my world! Smiles to you all!
Last night I went upstairs to bed, and my joints/muscles weren't as achey! WOOT! LOL Anyday like that is a GREAT DAY! ;D
Going to the Christmas programs at church as always proved to be an interesting experience. It is just so much fun to watch the faces of the kids as they sing. Some are filled with rhythm and rock back and forth with the music and you can tell they love to sing.
Others keep their heads down low, their lips hardly move and you can just read their minds. They are saying in their heads, you can make me stand up here and you can make me sing, but you can't make me like it.
It is always fun to go to the programs. Brings smiles to everyones faces. Irish ;D
great idea! gratitude isn't always easy but it's definitely important!
i got to celebrate my son's first birthday on Sunday. he ate cake for the first time, and he LOVED it. it was a great day. and he's a great kid.
this morning i woke to a clicky/thumpy noise. thump-click-tap-tap-thump... looked over and he was trying to shove my cell phone into the humidifier's exhaust opening... he'll try to do that, but goodness forbid he do the same with his shape sorter... ::)
