I have always been a glove wearer.  Since being "gifted" with Raynaud's last winter, my hands get so cold during the winter months.

They especially get cold when I am driving.  I'm thinking I might need to start wearing mittens to keep my fingers together to help create heat.

Will be curious to see what the poll votes are.

Oops.  Here's the Sjogren's brain fog at work - I was thinking of mittens, but the word that popped into my head was "gloves", so that's what I voted.  Should've been mittens.  :D

I can't do the glove thing in the very cold of winter.  I've been wearing them for now, but I pumped gas today, and yikes, was that cold!  I find when it gets really cold, I need the mittens.  Sometimes they aren't even warm enough and I've even tried putting cotton gloves underneath heavy mittens, but it gets kind of tight.  I've worn mittens when walking the dog, but I'm finding even still my fingertips were getting cold (and my mom bought these specifically because they were supposed to be ultra mega warm)

The problem with mittens is that it's so much harder to use your hands.

Hi Bucky,

Will wear a pair of gloves and then put on a pair of mittens if I have to dig out my car, or if the temperature gets around 20F or lower.

Gloves, definately!

Also have Raynaud's since last winter, and I wear gloves the first sign of any cold weather. My husband got me a leather pair a couple years ago with thermal-type lining and they are "toasty"!   ;)

Don't forget mittens over gloves!

That's exactly what I do.  I wear a pair of thinsulate gloves in the car so I can still drive, and when I get out of the car, I put my mittens on top of the gloves.  Works pretty well so far for me.

I have gloves but I had to trade over to mittens. I couldn't keep my fingers warm enough.

I am trying out some gloves from Gander Mountain.
They have 40 wt thinsolate and salesman said they'd be very warm. When gloves just say they have the thinsolate, it is only about 5 wt.  I didn't know that.

Will let you know how they work.

I usually like to wear mittens as they seemed to keep my fingers warmer.

I prefer gloves and they change with the time of year and what is going on with my hands and fingers. Thinsulate is my favorite for warmth. Leather is my favorite to protect my hands from cuts.

I need an option to vote for both!  Actually, my RA gloves, then gloves on top followed by sheepskin mitts too on icy mornings

I live in a mild climate, but because of Raynaud's, wear gloves when the temp drops into the low 50s.  I voted for gloves because I wear them most often.  However,  on the days it drops to near freezing, I switch to mittens during my morning walk.
