i just wanted to know if anyone else had this and what it was
Sounds like peripheral neuropathy. It you search on it in this forum you'll find you have described the symptoms. Call your rhuemy.
Several things come to mind.
One is the PN.
The other is all the meds and their potential synergistic effects.
Why amitriptyline with restless leg? That usually aggravates it.
Meds usually don't do much to mitigate the symptoms of PN. I have basically had to make friends with it....every med I take makes me have some other symptom that was more distressing than what it is supposed to be treating.
thanks for your replies
the amitriptiline is for my atyipical facial pain, which i cant do without it ,ive been on it for 5yrs now,i was thinking PN also ,im seeing
my rheumy on 12th november next so i will mention it then
Yes, I see you have genniculate neuralgia, which is similar to trigeminal neuralgia, very painful. I imagine the pramipexole solves the RLS issue. How much pramipexole are you on?
I get the tingling stinging pains too. I have just been able to semi-ignore it. Good luck...
hi inga,
yes the GN is very very painfull.have had it for over 6yrs now, there is no cure either,i take 2 x 0.088mg pramipexol on an evening x
Lizzi,
I don't know what you have, but I have so many strange neurological anomalies it's not funny. When I tell the doctors they just look at me funny, never herd of that, is what they tell me. Now I don't tell them, don't want to be classified a hypochondriac, then they stop listening to anything you say. Best not to over load a doctor with too much information, they can't handle it.
Some of your symptoms sound very familiar, let us know what the doctor thinks is going on.
