Title: Old news new twist
Post by: Scottietottie on October 09, 2010, 08:26:01 AM

Hi - I got an email from my daughter yesterday and all that was in it was this link:

http://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/8439409.Fearless_rower_Bev_is_up_for_a_national_award/ (http://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/8439409.Fearless_rower_Bev_is_up_for_a_national_award/)

Seems her local paper thinks its worth mentioning but it never made it in a big way to mainstream news, which could have raised more for their charity.

I am glad that she truly believes that if you set your mind to something - you can do it.

Take care - Scottie  :)

Scotty,

Take a bow as you've raised one heck of a youngster, and I'm sure that you've never been prouder of her either (who says that beauty and "perseverance" can't exist together?).

Take a bow mom -

Awwww - I am really proud of her. I often wonder where the heck she came from because her Dad and I couldn't do what she does!! I guess we did give her the opportunities to go her own way and to believe in herself yet she has a younger sister who doesn't have the same self belief at all.

Thanks all :)

Take care - Scottie  :)
