what a week I have had. As you all know I have been having this pain in my left hip since the middle of August with no relief. I have had xrays and mri with no results. On Monday I went to the Chiropractor and he took more films and said my left Illium is rotated in quite a bit. He marked on the xray so I could see. He then put an estem unit on it, then adjusted me. I even felt a little better when I left there. I felt like there might be a light at the end of the tunnel.
Well I then went to my Rheumy's office for blood work. she came out to see how I was doing and I told her that I went to the chiro this morning.I told her exactly what he said. She pulled up her xrays and said no it is not rotated. she said go get his films and get hers and the MRI from the hospital and take them to an ortho dr that she was sending me to.
I went to the Ortho dr this morning and he said Yes it is rotated but I am a long way from hip replacement. He said I could get 2 injections, one in the back and one in the bursa to see where the pain is exactly coming from. Or I could go back to the chiro and let him adjust me. I told him that I am going to have the chiro adjust me and then if it doesn't help I will come back to get the injections. I have had injections before and they work about 2 weeks and then the pain is back. So I don't think this is a solution. I am going to stick with the chiro for awhile before I put anymore drugs in this body. Yes, It hurts like the dickens but I think the inj are a temp fix. I don't know how Dr H is going to like my decission but it is my body right?
I have another adjustment apt this afternoon with my chiro
what a week it has been and it is only Wed.
Thanks for listening, harlin
Yes, it is your body and sometimes you have to just go with your gut feeling and try something else. I hope the chiro adjustment give you some relief!

I get recurrent bursitis in my trochanteric bursae (it's very painful) and get a lot of relief from the cortisone shot and it doesn't hurt that bad to get the shot.
Does no one think it's related to the RA? I can tell you, I've been to heck and back with joint pain. I had one ortho tell me that my hips are 'going' and another (same office) tell me the Xrays look fine. I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder??
