So I am wondering is there any pattern to where you get sore and in what order or is it random?
I've never had much soreness but this summer have had hip soreness and some upper thigh soreness maybe related to the hips.
Lately though when I wake up the tops of my ankles and a little way up the shins and tops of the wrists hurt. After a couple of hours it goes away.
This is what originally made me think I had fibro but the doctor said no along with all my other symptoms, SJS.
I know alot of you have pain all over but did it start in some particular order like this?
Thanks
Cindi
Hi Cindi :)
I have soreness that comes and goes. It's pretty random. Pretty well anywhere can be sore. In my case it usually goes away again after a week or so. Had a lot of bother with arms and thumb joints this year but now they have settled down a lot.
My achilles tendons don't seem to settle though. They hurt most of the time as do my calf muscles but its mostly when I'm walking rather than being at rest.
I used to think one knee was bad because of SjS but it was actually OA. Also have OA in one shoulder and I think probably in my right hip. Not bad enough to do anything about as yet.
My upper back and shoulders hurt from time to time - nsometimes quite badly - but again - in my case I get periods of respite too.
Take care - Scottie :)
Mine is pretty random as well. Although I can almost guarantee you it is worse after I do a lot physically....
I get it all over and it is really debilitating at times or just mildly annoying... ranges from one end of the spectrum to the other, although lately it seems to be on the more painful end of things.

I have joint pain through out my body. All of the joints in my fingers, hands, feet and toes ache constantly. My ribs are quite tender to the touch always and the rest of my joints hurt more often than not, with the exception of my right hip, which hurts constantly. If I do anything like shopping or cleaning, I hurt worse for days.

If there is a bone or joint that doesn't hurt today it will tomorrow, seems like any physical demand on any part of the body will cause several days of pain. My newest area that has become a problem is the hands and wrists, I just had my shoulder operated on 3 month ago and I'm still in physical therapy, I don't know if it will ever be better.
I had the wrists and hands x-rayed and to my surprise everything looks normal, but I know there is something wrong and will have to see another specialist or two to find out what is wrong, I'm sure there is no cure, so maybe I shouldn't even bother.
My hip pain comes from bursitis of the greater trochanter, the first time it flared up I thought I would need a hip replacement, because my leg would lock up until the muscle would pop over the hip bone, very painful. When I had my shoulder surgery they remove a lot of the bursa while they removed bone spurs and repaired a tear. I think most of our pains are due to soft tissue inflammation.
I'm sore all over the place. Most of it doesn't really go away. So I have no pattern except that it's better in the morning and gets worse as the day goes on.
Mine isnt soreness,, its just pain and numbness along with burning,, I was almost reduced to trying to get around on my knees yesterday,, from hte knees down the pain was unbearable,, both legs,, and the hands,, last night the crippling pain in both hands was horrible,, today they have a mind of thre own,,
