Hi
Just for fun - thought that those of us who like to watch "reality tv" can chime in on the contestants - who we like, who we despise. Who we want to see win, etc.
We'll start off with Big Brother 12 as it is quickly coming to an end on Wednesday, Sept. 15th.
Who would you like to see win "America's Favorite Houseguest" and win $25,000?
My vote is either for Britney or Ragan.
Who would you like to see win Big Brother 12?
My vote is for Lane.
What say ye??
Bucky
Oh Bucky...don't get me started on Big Brother..I am hooked on that show! :D
I am so mad that the Brigade made it to the end when they really didn't do well during the entire show! BUT I suppose out of the 3, I would like to see Lane win even though he doesn't need the money. The next vote would be for Hayden to win....just so Enzo doesn't! :D
I voted for Ragan to get the 25,000 for "Americas Favorite Houseguest"...he was my original Choice to Win!
Can you tell I'm a fan?? ::)
Lynnmarie - I hear ya. I sit here during the week yelling at the TV for "my" contestant to win! LOL
You would think - since the people in the house have watched previous seasons of Big Brother, they would know to vote out the most competitive person when they have the chance. Otherwise, they might as well just hand over all the cash because they will make it to the end.
They get too caught up in their friendship and alliances they make - they're not in the house for those reasons . . they are there to WIN!!
It's so funny - when they start to figure that out . . . i.e. Ragan recently sitting there talking it all out to himself . . . it's usually too late. I was hoping Ragan would be the grand prize winner too. I just wanted to reach out and give him a hug when he was feeling so low there just before he was evicted.
I think it would be fun to be on Big Brother! ;D Kinda, sorta . . . LOL I would definitely pick Big Brother over Survivor. In Big Brother you might not have the most comfy bed in the house, but at least you have a roof over your head and food (albeit slop some times) in your tummy. ;D
Make sure and vote on-line for your "America's Favorite Houseguest" so they will win $25,000 on finale night.
Bucky
Guess its just you and me Bucky...... :D
That's okay Lynnmarie . . we will party hardy together!! ;D
Tomorrow night is the season opener for Survivor, followed by the season finale of Big Brother. Come on Lane!! ;D
Of course, me being of the older generation ( ::) - when did THAT happen?) I am going to cheer for the older group on Survivor. Hope they kick butt and show those young whippersnappers that we DO know a thing or too! ;D
Looking forward to tomorrow night.
Bucky
I am hooked on Big Brother also! So excited that tomorrow will be a two hour special!!
I want Hayden to win and I think Britney should win AMERICA'S FAVORITE HOUSEGUEST.
I am so excited to see Dancing with the Stars next week!! It's such an interesting cast.
My favorite show Lost ended last season. And my other fave show Heros was canceled so I think I am just down to Reality T.V. Hopefully there will be some interesting new shows.
Come on and join the BB party tonight Sleepy! I will be watching both hours plus Survivor too! Big TV night for me! :)
The tv marathon is about to begin tonight!! ;D In about 14 minutes Survivor will start. ;D
One would think - after all these years of this show, that EVEN before a person applies to be on the show they would know how to build shelter and start fire!! Weren't any of these people Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts?!? :D The least they should do is read the book, Survivor for Dummies (is there one? I made that up! LOL).
Keeping my fingers cross for Lane on Big Brother!! And either Britney or Ragan for $25,000.
Bucky
What a night on Reality TV!! :o
Big Brother - awwww, rats, I was hoping Lane would have won. At least he won $50,000. Yay, Britney won America's vote. ;D
Survivor - Wendy, Wendy, Wendy . . . all that talking at tribal put a nail in your coffin!!
These contestants never learn . . they talk too much and tell too much. I'm telling the TV . . . "be quiet, you're telling too much!" ::) . . . nope, they don't listen!
Should be an interesting season . . .
Bucky
I just saw this and COUNT ME IN. Survivor, Big Brother, DWTS and America's Got Talent.
I watched all 3 that ran tonight. Channel surfing between commercials. I wanted Lane to win too, but second was good.
On America's Got Talent, I thought the 10 y/o girl might win, but she got second place and a male blues singer got first.
That was a good choice, at 10 she has much time ahead of her and is already a headliner. Lucy
Lucy - I've only seen hit and miss of America's Got Talent this season.
I haven't seen the show in a while and didn't see it last night.
I just can't imagine a 10 yr. old wanting to start a "career" at that age. She should be a little girl and enjoy what little girls do instead of jumping on the adult bandwagon of working. Makes you wonder if this is something she wanted to pursue or did her parents push her into it? I don't even know what her talent is? A singer?
If she is a singer, her voice can change a lot as she gets older.
Look at all the child stars from years past (on tv shows) - very few of them have grown to adulthood unscathed by lots of problems. Ron Howard has fared well - but, some of the others haven't.
Bucky
Bucky, the little girl is a cute, normal 10 y/o and she is an opera singer and totally professional. Her voice is spectacular and it's notable that she made it to second spot. She will have a career no matter what. The winner was a 30 y/o fellow who was a blues singer. He was very good and deserved to win. He is all set for a career. The top 4 should be all set as far as people looking for new talent will be looking at them.
The little girl is an opera singer so I don't necessarily think she will go the route of Brittney Spears, etc. They are all pop singers. Opera singers have to wear clothing, if you know what I mean. No qquestion the talent is already there. She does have plenty of time to practice in different venues where opera singing would be appropriate.
I agree with you Bucky...at least Lane got second place last night! And I really wanted Ragan to win the 25,000, but I'm not upset that Brittany got it after what the "Brigade" did to her...so its all good!
I did watch Survivor last night too....this is going to be a long season I think....some doozies on there! :D
Since Ragan got money for being the saboteur, I am glad Brittany got the reward as being the favorite.
As I see it, they both won.
That's true Ohiocat! They both deserved it too!
Did you guys read that the morning of the finale show of Big Brother that the house that Britney and her fiance share had a fire? They didn't tell Britney until after the finale show.
The $25,000 she won as America's Favorite and the $10,000 she won in a competition will come in handy!
Bucky
It's Sunday night and I am missing my Big Brother fix. Hope the Amazing race starts soon.
Can't wait for Dancing with the Stars tomorrow. Very interesting cast, not sure if any of them can actually dance.
Sleepy101 - you know, I think it's GOOD if none of the stars know how to dance. Sure, those who have a background in dance look more graceful - but, I think it shows how well the trainers can teach someone with no dancing background how to dance. Each week, they will keep improving.
Take for instance, Kelly Osbourne - she wasn't a dancer. By the end of the show, she was doing a very good job. And, best of all, she was enjoying it!! ;D
So, I'm all for the ones who don't have a dancing background. They will learn to shake and shimmy before long!! ;)
The bad thing is each season the dances seem to be more and more intense. They push so hard with each dance. The stars are fitting in rehearsals on top of their already busy schedules. That's when the injuries happen!!
Bucky
hey there..i am looking forward to DWTS too... so glad it is fall.. ready for new shows!!!
I was able to catch most of DWTS tonight and Jennifer Grey's rehearsal clips and dance were pretty touching. Her memories of dancing with Patrick Swayze to the same song years ago brought tears to her eyes, the audience, as well as to mine.
me 2 Lynn.. It made me cry when i saw her crying.. i was a dirty dancing fan... that movie was out when i was about 10.. i went to see it at the movies..loved patrick S...
i enjoyed DWTS but it usually gets better after a few weeks...David H. made me laugh!! he is silly
Missed most of DWTS last night - only saw it starting with Florence Henderson and those after her.
Jennifer Grey will probably be a top contender to win this season - but, again - she has dancing experience. Kinda not fair as this gives her an upper advantage over some others who have no dance experience at all.
So, wonder who will get eliminated tonight? Anybody have any guesses? Since I didn't see the whole show, I can't vote.
Bucky
I just read some posts on Facebook and some picks are: Margaret Cho, the Hof, The situation (whomever he is) and Michael Bolton were some of the picks. I'd say just about anyone but the very top few are vulnerable at this point.
The HOF is OFF DWTS. I can agree with the judges and people. He was one of the least talented of those doing the first dance. He looked awful old and wrinkly to me. Maybe the HOF is OFF the wagon. Lucy
I don't know what the rest of you thought but Margaret Cho cracked me up with her dance last night...she was so funny...but she made the judges "upset" when she had her fun with the waltz! :D
Bruno was like "WHAT THE BLEEEEEEEEEEEP WAS THAT?" :D ;D
I missed most of DWTS last night. Saw bits and pieces of the first hour - which was a repeat of the night before. Missed the whole second hour.
I kept flipping the channel back and forth to see The Biggest Loser too. I thought Jillian was off the show this season? Guess not!
Let's see . . it's Wednesday . . . ahhh, Survivor night. :) Wonder who will fall victim tonight?
I used to be really bad . . . I would plan my evening around the tv. I couldn't go anywhere at night as I would HAVE to be home to see blah, blah, blah. I'm not that bad any more . . . it seems I hardly ever get to watch a whole series from start to finish . . . it's usually more like hit and miss. ::)
Especially, since they went digital on television. I have a little 5" black and white and I use to sit at the computer and watch my shows. Well, we don't have cable, so I would need to have a converter box for this tv. Shoot, the converter box is almost as big as the tv!! :o Anyhow, I don't have one. Too cheap to buy one - so my 5" tv is out of commission. :'( So, I have to pick . . . computer or tv . . . hmmmm, what to do, what to do!?! ::) I think pathetic is the word I'm looking for! LOL :D
Bucky
Once again, I missed most of Survivor tonight - only saw the last 15 minutes of the show. :(
Again, tribal counsel brings lose lips and they talk too much, and tell too much. The longer Shannon went on and on, the more he was going to be targeted. They never learn!!
Bucky
I went out to eat tonight and missed Survivor...but I will catch it on the computer before the next show.
Bucky...did you know you can either catch the whole episode or a synopsis of the episode on the computer? That's what I do when I miss one and want to catch up! This way you wouldn't have to choose between your tv and your computer! ;)
Thanks Lynnmarie for the info that your meant for BUCKY! :o Did not realize until last night that had missed the 2 hour starting episode on Sept. 15th.
Took grandson to help me last night... Papaw BLEW it!!! :-\ Our AGE is showing... Papaw said last night was first night and I TOLD the whole Sjoggie World! Grandson staying all night said for me to not pay any attention to Papaw that he had watched 2 hours of it the week before... Grandkids are just like our kids were, tell it just like it is!!!! Precious memories... ;)
SORRY, I SCREWED UP!!! :-X
Whooohoo!! 1 1/2 of amazing race!! Guess I will have to catch desperate housewives on the computer tomorrow.
Anybody impressed by the new falls shows. I haven't found any I haveto watch. I got an encore of THE EVENT last night it was ok but won't miss DWTS for that. Seems like way to many cop, detective, court shows. Reality it is.
I did watch The Amazing Race tonight and it is only a secondary favorite of mine. Sunday night seems to be a little bare of my fave programs. I do like the one following Amazing Race, Undercover Boss. It's kind of corny but I like it. All of the boss' they have had on here to date have been healthy and "in shape." The boss tonight was decidedly overweight and was wet with sweat with every move he made.
At the end, it said he was joining the gym and getting in shape. Lucy
Missed The Amazing Race tonight, but did see Undercover Boss. I think every boss should have to walk in the shoes of their employees and see what goes on.
I know for myself, I have had bosses who sit in their comfy little offices and give the demands on down the pipe. If only they knew how unrealistic some of their demands are. (not that they care) Try working understaffed, without the necessary supplies to do your job, with time constraints, with sick kids at home, etc, etc. It's been my experience that Corporate America is too concerned about the almighty dollar to actually care about their employees - just get the job done!
I'm sure some have worked for caring employers - would sure make a difference in the atmosphere of coming into work each day - knowing that you are valued as an employee.
Ok - I'll get off my soap box now . . don't get me started on employers. Grrrrrrrr ;)
Bucky
I enjoy Undercover Boss, too, although it seems a bit "fakey" sometimes. However, think it's great every boss on the show has been surprised to learn how the "little people" in their companies make such a difference. I think every boss should have a "training course" from the bottom rung up to see what happens in the real world.
I love the Amazing Race. Partly because I like seeing the countries and the info. given about the cultures, and partly to see how the pairs work together, or don't work together. My husband and I laugh about that all the time; I think we would be ok except when they get to things like climbing up something tall, rapelling off a cliff, etc. Even when I was healthy, I have a horrible fear of heights!! I couldn't have made it up the side of the castle on that ladder, no way. We'd be the last team cause I would be the embarrassing one being hysterical because I couldn't climb. :(
Undercover Boss is decidedly "corny" and fakey as you say, but I like seeing peeons showing up the bosses with simple work. The boss last night was overweight and just walking across the parking lot had him sweating and wet through his shirt. lol.
If nothing else, this show will be fodder for talk around the water coolers and maybe the ideas will hit some companies to give this a shot. I am so glad I'm out of the work environment! My daughter lost her job a year and half ago after 7 years at the company. She is turning up nothing. Michigan is the highest or one of the higjest unemp states. I know it's bad all over. This really breaks a person's spirit. Lucy
Have to admit I like both of the above. Have to wonder how they pull off Undercover now that the show has sired. Wouldn't employees see cameras coming into the workplace as a dead giveaway?
In my much younger days worked for a little company (factory) and the owner was always out on the floor talking with the employees on how to make the job easier. Sold his business to Union Carbide and they continued with the policy. The mechanics and engineers would make new machines and bring them to the floor, try them out and ask how we liked them, good and bad input was heard. It was a great place to work. Haven't seen that in any of the places I have worked recently.
On the lighter note, I agree with Meld, no way would my DH and I be able to get past anything that floated in the air or put us on a precipice! LOL I think it's fun to try to guess who will win the leg of the race that night and enjoy seeing how people manage their differences. Could never have my DH be navigator as he walks into a mall department store, turn him around three times and he can't tell you how to get out! He takes the teasing good naturedly!
Always been a sucker for Survivor although I do get annoyed by all the alliances any more. Seems like it eliminates people right away before they can prove their worth or loyalties. Someone mentioned building fires and building shelters...hello! It's survivor! Two essentials to bring into the game! Of course, this year I root for the Seniors!
AGT...the prize is a headline act at Vegas. As good as the little girl is (and I still have a very hard time believing that is her real singing voice!) Who in Vegas really wants to see Opera? Think I would have picked an act to win but was glad they picked the fellow. All four of the finalists have a good future in entertainment.
Lucy, do hope your daughter finds employment soon. Have great friends up there in the smae boat. So sad.
I didn't see the entire DWTS show last night, but I saw the end where they show a quick review of the night. So . . . . who do you think will get the ax tonight? I'm not sure.
I think Bristol did a good job last night, but I don't think they should have gotten the high scores they did when some of the others did really good and all they got was 18! Do you think it's just because she has NO prior dancing experience? I'm sure the football guys don't either (although, don't they practice ballet moves as a football player?). Don't know.
Bucky
I think Michael Bolton might be going home tonight. Sometimes it is more a popularity contest then a dancing contest.
Bucky,,i so agree with you..i think she got higher scores cause her mom Sara P. was there.. but that is my opinion.. who knows...
i knew Michael would be going home too.. yeah he is not much of a dancer but a score of 3 was a pretty low blow i thought... jennifer Grey is great..
I'm not a football fan, and I don't know anything about Jimmy Johnson - but, he seemed nice on Survivor. Too bad he got voted off tonight. They should have voted off Danny.
That NaOnka chick is something else!! ::) I think her days are numbered.
Never a dull moment in Survivor-land. ;)
Bucky
Bucky,
I was sorry to see Jimmy J. go tonight, too. He won a couple Super Bowls as a coach and was a great college coach.
Might agree that I thought they were sending Danny home; poor guy might have been better off.
And yes, that NaOnka chick has GOT to go soon. :P Wow, she has the kind of personality I really do not like being around. I would have a hard time dealing with her!
More drama in Survivor-land.
Melinda
Hey, Missed the first 20 minutes of Survivor last night. Was on SW and had one of those AHA moments when looked down at time on computer screen... Realized it had been changed to Wednesday night. :(

More drama in Survivor-land.
That's what its all about....drama!! ;D
Hi...I'm a Survivor addict! Was a little bummed to see Jimmy J leave last night but someone's got to go...Right?
I was hoping it was Dan...
The young team drives me crazy...hoping Naonka gets the boot soon....
Dawnbr
anyone watch DWTS last night?? i wasn't that into it... it was ok.. last week so much better..
what did you guys think? of course it prob doesnt help i am in the middle of a major flare esp with my
left eye.. but i closed it and tried to watch out of my right..lol..
Oh dear Sjogren's Angels,
I'm truly lost on this one. Cannot abide 'reality' shows. Actually don't watch much TV.
Not a snob, far from it. But some how TV just doesn't do it for me.
So I'm always 'out of it' on these discussions.
I did see "Social Network" this weekend and it's great. I LOVE Movies.
Go figure.
Kisses
Elaine
I was in a meeting last night and didn't see any of DWTS. I'll have to go on-line and watch it. Lynn - where do I go to see it? I don't even know who is in the bottom score wise.
I'll probably be channel hopping tonight - between Biggest Loser and DWTS results.
I wanted to watch the Amazing Race the other night, but didn't get to see any of that either.
It seems in the fall that the evening goes by so quickly - by the time you get dinner fixed, clean up the kitchen, throw in a load of laundry, read the mail - it's time for bed! ::)
Bucky
Hey Bucky,
Just go to abc.com for DWTS episodes.
Almost all of the shows now run full episodes online after they have aired on tv. Survivor and Amazing race are on cbs.com, etc. Its a good thing in my opinion!
Margaret Cho and Louie were voted off DWTS tonight.
I had a feeling that was going to happen even though is was The Situation's turn to go.
Awwww so sad, too bad Jimmy . . . you're history on Survivor!
He whined too much.
Dan can't sit out every challenge. I bet he will be the next one to go.
Next week there is a shake up and the tribes are going to be mixed up, if not combined. Should be interesting!!
Bucky
Jimmy J. got bounced because he was a compulsive complainer/talker. Those folks were so tired of hearing his mouth.
Then there is the guy with bad knees who can't participate in anything. Geez, the older tribe is already withered and they made a big mistake by getting rid of the football coach. I don't see a chance in heck of them winning, but they will be splitting up or combining the tribes soon. I guess it will take on a whole other dicrection (maybe) when/if this happens.
I must admit some of the younger tribe are nothing but spoiled brats with nasty mouths. Their mother should wash the mouth out with soap. Lucy
It's Tuesday - another elimination night on DWTS. Who do you think it's gonna be?
My guess is The Situation.
Jennifer and Derek's performance was really good. They should have gotten a 30! If I was to bet, I think they will win this season.
Mama Brady was one hot number last night!! :o For her age, she did really well last night.
I just don't get some of the scores the judges give though. They give one person a 4 or 5 and the next person, who didn't appear to do any better than the last one, gets a 6 or 7. They don't seem consistent with their scores.
Bucky
You guessed right Ms. Bucky! It was "The Situations" turn to go though!
I agree with The Situation's time to go. He really didn't pick up on dancing at all. He was strong and could do lifts though. I also think he wasn't very smart or quick catching on to what the others were trying to tell him. Sorry, I had never heard/seen this guy before. Lucy
Lucy - I had never heard of him before either.
It's Wednesday . . . Survivor night. ;D Should be interesting to see what happens tonight. If they combine the tribes or mix them up - could mess up some alliances and plans some of them have.
Stay tuned . . . . . :D
Bucky
@Lucy you are right about The Situation not being very smart. He is from MTV's Jersey Shore. He is known for always being drunk and hooking up with girls and also having a hot temper which showed a little last night.
i didnt know who the 'situation' was either.. both my mom and myself had no clue.. ok .. so
he is a reality star.. hmmm. it was def his time to go.. couldnt dance at all....
Well, it was curtains for Tyrone.
It's interesting to see how different the tribes were. The older tribe had "routines" and things that everyone did, every day. The younger tribe didn't have any set rules.
You know, I don't even remember seeing Dan last night. Was he on? Whose tribe is he on now?
Bucky
I forgot . . . . I was sure surprised by the change in NaOnka - from . . . in your face . . . to wanting to go home. :o
Wonder if they will rebuild their shelter to make it more weather proof? It's GOT to be miserable to be wet all the time, the wind was blowing, and who knows what the temperatures were. But . . . that's the game of Survivor!!
What did you guys think of Marty announcing to his new tribe that he has the idol? I don't know . . I think if that tribe had gone to tribal counsel last night that he might have been the one to go. He still thinks HE is the one controlling everything. The youngin's don't care all that much for him.
Bucky
I was surprised by Naonka too...she was a whole turn around from the other weeks...from knocking people over and threatening to throw their legs in the fire to crying and wanting to go home! Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez....what a change!
Another dancer has packed up their dancing shoes.
Florence & Corky have been eliminated. Actually, I thought Florence was doing a good job. She should be proud of her accomplishment and being able to keep up with the younger ones on the show - at 76 yrs. old she could shake her bootie too!! :D
I thought that Bristol would be the one eliminated. She really got lost on their dance. Guess she knows a lot of people who can vote and keep her in.
Tonight's Survivor night . . . hmmmm, wonder who will be voted out tonight?
Bucky
I thought Mrs. Brady should have stayed! >:(
Bristol needed to take her monkey suit and go home instead.... ::)!
We lost two tribe members last night on Survivor.
Those guys just don't get it . . . . ::) they had the perfect opportunity to vote out Marty and they go and vote out Kelly B who is no threat to them! They can't complain then when he ends up winning the show - they had their chance to get rid of him. Plus, they wanted to get rid of the "older" tribe - this was their opportunity.
I think Marty was sweating there during the second vote . . . I bet he was wishing he had played his idol. Lucky for him the rest of his tribemates made a dumb second vote and he's still in the game.
The other team still should have voted off Dan - he's not helping them win any challenges and at least Yve was an able bodied member helping. Another bad move - IMHO. ;) (in my humble opinion)
Many times I think people change their minds on who they are going to vote on during tribal counsel - Jeff asks questions that get people saying things they shouldn't - loose lips will sink them every time!!
I would love to see what goes on during the week that we don't see on TV. Wonder if they all have to sign some contract that they wouldn't give out any Survivor secrets once they leave the game? I also wonder if they do "retakes"?
Bucky
Bucky,
I must have missed something last night...because I thought that was the plan too....to take Marty out! Then all of a sudden...there goes Kelly B!
Same with Dan...I thought he was for sure gone and out goes Yve....whatever! ???
It's Tuesday night . . . elimination night for someone on DWTS.
I just now watched the show from last night. My guess is that Kurt & Anna will be leaving tonight.
One thing I notice with Bristol is that she doesn't have the head "snaps" like everyone else. Hers need to have sharper, deliberate movements. (Listen to me . . ha . . . like I know anything about dancing . . NOT!)
During the dance marathon I think Jennifer & Derek should have gotten the top honors over Brandy & Max. Probably since Derek has won it several times, they wanted to give it to someone else. Which, I can see.
Hmmmmm . . . who will be eliminated tonight? Stay tuned . . . . . .
Awwww, I don't think Audrina & Tony should have been eliminated. :(
I don't know who Audrina is, but she seems so sweet and innocent. Sure would love to have a body like hers!! :o (That ain't gonna happen!!)
I still think it should have been Kurt & Anna to be eliminated.
Today is Wednesday . . . Survivor night. Wonder who will say too much at tribal counsel and get voted off tonight? They (I don't remember the different tribe names) might regret not voting off Marty when they had the perfect opportunity.
Bucky
Well, Jill's gone now off of Survivor! I'll bet they are going to regret keeping Marty! What do you think?
In one way, at least the guy (don't remember his name) that promised Marty he wouldn't get voted off that evening kept his promise. If they end up at tribal counsel next week, I think Marty will be on his way home.
They always talk about one thing at camp and then do something different at tribal counsel.
I think there's a merge looming in the very near future.
Could be fireworks next week with the little shenanigans that NaOnka pulls of taking and hoarding food. Hmmmm!
Oh, and I say good for you Jane keeping one of the fish just for herself!! She did all the work to catch them and everyone else reaped the benefits. Wonder if any of the others found out? (maybe they did and I missed that part)
Bucky
I really enjoyed the 200th episode last night! I think one of the football players will be voted off. But who knows last week caught me by surprise. Jennifer redeemed herself this week so I don't expect her to be in the bottom again.
I enjoyed the 200th DWTS show. It was very glitzy and entertaining. Jennifer's whining is getting on my nerves. If you're not up to it, then don't do it. I think she realized the whiny talk was hurting their chances and it will stop. They are very good.
I was sad that Cheryl and her jolly green giant (sorry bad with names) got booted. Not fair. Cheryl is probably the top female dance teacher and MAKS IS THE BEST MALE TEACHER, according to me.
On Survivor, I happen to like Marty but have not been all in tune with it. The girls, Naonka and her friend who store and ate food would be high on my list of those to go. Jane, all withered and older, beat all those men and women on the individual immunity. She is a strong woman.
I agree, it's too bad Cheryl & Rick got eliminated. Cheryl's a really good dancer - sure wish I could move like she does!
It should have been Bristol going home. Guess Mama Palin and all of Alaska is keeping her in the running. (nothing against anybody who lives in Alaska - just stating that since it's Bristol's home state, they would be voting for her to stay)
Once again on Survivor, they had the perfect opportunity to vote off Marty and they didn't!! ::) It's really dumb since he'll get the idol back now and then they won't be able to vote him off. How long is his idol good for?
It's also not good that NaOnka has an idol too! Ahhh, what a tangled web they weave!! ::)
Bucky
Bucky, I'm a DWTS FANATIC! I live my life through reallity tv and movies. lol, but that's what happens when your body gives out.
So, I just watched DWTS tonight and it's 11:30 where I am so I don't think this is a spoiler to anyone. Anna and Kurt got booted. I think it's time for Bristol to go home. She's come a long way but she even said she wanted to go home last week and cried.
I still want Jennifer to win cause I really just like her and the fact that she is 50 and still can rock it! She 's a wonderful dancer!! Yeah, she's in pain but she's pushing thru it. She is a little doll and I'd give anything to dance like that!
Ever notice how Derick always gets the best partners or one of the top dancers? And Max, too. Wow, he got a little testy with Carrie, huh? He is a great dancer but strikes me as a little snarky in all seasons. Loved his partner last yr, the blonde sportscaster. Saw them out together on tv just last week.
I know, I know, I watch tooooo much tv. lol
My guess for winner is Jennifer or Brandy. I'm praying it's Jennifer.
Yes Max did get a LOT testy....I think Brandi was wishing he would be quiet.....afraid it would hurt her chances at getting votes and I'm glad it did not!
He needs to be a little more professional and relax!
The little Disney guy has really improved. He is very entertaining. I hope Bristol goes home next week.
Anyone planning to watch Skating with the Stars? I am not sure I will like that show or not.
A few summers ago there was a show called Circus with the Stars. That was actually a really good show. It was amazing was they were able to do.
I like Kyle too....he's a cutie and always up for whatever they throw at him!!
As far as Survivor...thank goodness they finally got rid of Marty...but when the heck are they going to get rid of that nasty Naonka? >:(
You guys------what's the deal about Marty? I liked Marty and may not have been aware of everything, but if I'd been on Survivor I would have wanted him around me. Too late now though. I'm surprised the little thief Naonka is still on. Lucy
I haven't been able to watch much TV lately, so I'm behind in all the reality shows.
I did watch DWTS last night - Brandy shouldn't have gone home. She's a really good dancer.
Now, it's anybodies chance to win the Mirror Ball next week. Yes, Jennifer is a really good dancer - but, she has experience - so, she has an advantage. Kyle is quick on his feet for a heavier guy - he looks like he's having a lot of fun. Bristol has come a long way with no dancing experience.
So, who do you pick? The one who looks elegant and continues to get the high scores or the one who has blossomed and come a long way with no experience, or the one who is a good dancer and entertaining? Tough call.
I missed all of Survivor last week. So, I guess from what you guys say, Marty got the boot? I just don't like it when some people like to be the "puppet master" and think they have everyone under their spell.
I'll miss Survivor tonight - so I'll have to find out tomorrow what happened.
Bucky
I really like Kyle is has grown and matured over the last few weeks. Plus he has lost weight.
I was so surprised with DWTS!!
There is no way that Brandi should have gone home...I really felt she should have been in the finals! >:(
Re: Survivor
I love it when those who "think" they are running the show are voted off!! Bye, Bye Brenda! Next on the list - Sash.
I'm so glad Jeff talked Jane into hanging on during the challenge and she won! Those younger whippersnappers give out much sooner than some of the older tribe members.
Next week wraps up the Dancing With The Stars series. Hmmm, wonder who will end up winning the treasured Mirror Ball?
Bucky
Bucky, I was also glad to see Jane win the challenge. Skinny old lady gritting her teeth to hand on and she outlasted several young men and women. Yeah.
Me too...loved seeing Jane win that challenge and so glad that she didn't give up!
Go Jane!
Ok all...tonight is the BIG finale night on DWTS.....who do you think will win it all???
I cant wait to see!
I personally like Kyle although Jennifer is very good but has had dancing experience in the past! :)
We will find out soon!
I know who wins . . . . . . but . . . I'm not going to spill the beans for our viewers on the West coast.
The one I voted for won!! ;D
Bucky
Well....who is happy that Jennifer won.....Kyle got second....and Bristol came in third?
I like the results.....I think they were pretty right on (although I still think that Kyle is a cutie and so full of energy...lol)!!
I'm glad Jennifer won - she had a lot of injuries and kept dancing her way through the competition. With that said, it would have been nice for Kyle to win - he did improve quite a bit during the show and got some good scores along the way too.
It would be nice for future DWTS shows if they didn't have people on there with prior dancing experience. Granted, they are more graceful, etc. and fun to watch - however, the real challenge for the pro dancers would be to take someone with NO dancing experience and turn them into a dancer by the end of the show. That would be the true test of the pro's to see if they could do that.
I think Bristol improved a lot during the show, just like Kelly Osbourne did when she was on last year. Hats off to their pro dancers for teaching them to dance.
Is anyone going to watch Skating with the Stars? It doesn't really interest me so I will pass on that one.
Bucky
I'm passing on the Skating show too...not a lot of interest there although I like to watch professional skaters.
The show I am watching closely now that is winding down is The Amazing Race....I never get tired of that show as I love watching them travel all over the world and seeing the different customs and cultures!
Yes.....I'm a reality show addict I guess! ;)
The skating show did not interest me either. I am not sure what to watch on Mondays and Tuesday now. I have been recording of lot of family christmas movie for ABC movie channel. I guess Mon and Tues will be a good day to watch them.
I am into the amazing race also. I love that show, I hope the two female doctors win.
Has anyone watched Sarah Palin's Alaska? It doesn't matter what you think of her. It is worth watching because of the breathtaking Alaska secenery.
I used to like watching the Amazing Race - haven't seen any of it this time around.
Hmmm, wonder what is brewing on Survivor for this week? The previews last night hinted that two people quit. :o My guess it is NaOnka and Kelly. Shoot, I'll have to watch it on-line on Thursday to find out what happens as I have to work Wednesday night.
I think my evening TV watching is going to be non-existent for the month of December - too much going on. :(
Bucky
I still have to watch last weeks episode of Survivor yet....lol...missed it as I was in Chicago rush hour/holiday traffic for almost 5 hours that night! :o
I can't believe none of my Sjoggie friends have updated me on Survivor. :( Tonight, I planned on catching the show and find out the show finished up this past Sunday! :o We didn't get a TV program guide this week so I had no idea what's on TV. (Since starting a new job where I work evenings, I haven't been watching much TV.)
Well, well, well . . . . 21 yr. of Fabio wins a million dollars!! :o I'm really surprised he made it to the end - in the beginning, I sure didn't think he would go far. Anybody who plans on taking care of their Momma if they come into money is alright by me. ;)
I'm glad Jane won the "Sprint Player of the Season" award of $100,000. I missed the show she got voted out and didn't bother to catch up with it tonight as I watched the other two shows on-line tonight. She was smart to prepare herself for being on Survivor (which I could never figure out why people DIDN'T do this . . . especially, when it came to starting a fire . . . a MAJOR factor in the game). Good for you Jane!!
We've got a while now until the next Survivor - it starts Feb. 16th. Sounds like it could be an interesting season.
Bucky
I think the next Amazing Race starts in February as well...what will we do until then??? lol
I was glad Jane won the hundred thousand and thought she might. I never cared for Fabio and his silly smirk. I'm surprised if he even shaves.
Now, now............
