If anyone here could possibly explain some of these results to me, I would be forever grateful.
I saw the new Rheumy last week and she diagnosed me with Lupus, Sjogren's and Raynauds. She took additional blood for tests and these are the ones that came back high. She did indicate that she would call me if there was anything to worry about and I have not heard from her, as yet.
Anyway:
White Blood Count 12.5 H (3.8 - 10.8 Thousand/uL)
Platelet Count 460 H (140 - 400 Thousand/uL)
Absolute Neutrophiles 8625 H (1500 - 7800 cells/uL)
Vitamin D, 25 OH Total 27 L (30-100 ng/mL) (This one I understand, for the most part.)
If anyone can shed some light on this, it would alleviate some of my anxieties.

I would call her and speak to the nurse and state that you received copies of your most recent labs and want to discuss them with her. Let her know you will be expecting her call in the next day or two and if you don't hear back, call and tell the staff you want to talk to her nurse. Ask the nurse, since the Rheumy is too busy, at least she can relay to the nurse anything she might think about the tests and to let you know by the end of the day. Hardball....

I worked in a lab for a year and was friends with the techs who did blood work.( I was learning to screen cytology slides) the numbers in ( ) are reference ranges. Meaning this is what most of the population shows as having in a specific volume of blood. the tech use to have a grid to count how many of each kind of cell they saw on a slide, but now most places are automated- machines and computers. the numbers represent low normal to high normal.
Your blood count numbers are a little high. Definitely request or require that the doctor return your call to explain what concerns if any you should have. usually they repeat blood work in a few weeks or so to double check results, unless the person is one who high or low values are normal for the person. Yes this can happen. Several doctors have told me this about my low wbc. For me they only get worried if it goes below a certain point. I hope I was helpful. There are a few web sites that do a terrific job explaining the numbers. If I get a chance, I'll check tomorrow evening and send the links toyou in this thread.

what is it with vitamin D,, I go outside and I think I get enough sunshine,, but I usually test low on D,,, whats up with that

Vit. D is liquid sunshine. Very good for you. Most of us don't get enough sun.
My blood level of Vit D is at 83- higher than most. I take 2000IU/day. If I get a cold, I take 50,000IU/day to knock it out.

I often have similar results to yours for those particular tests. My doc told me that they were only a little above normal and nothing to worry about. She said that they'd have to be alot higher to be of real concern.
I sure hope she's right - for both of us! :)

Looks a little like an infection brewing. I don't know how high those values have to be to signify a truly bad infection or just a little bug, but WBC, Platelets and Neutrophiles being high are usually all signs of the body fighting some bug. I think???? I'm not sure how well brain is working tonight, feeling a bit wiped out. As far as the Vitamin D, I think we all run a litte or a little off in that department thanks to AI dosorders.
