Title: Going to Doggie sit my brothers French Bulldog.
Post by: SLEEPY101 on August 11, 2010, 04:54:37 AM
My parents are visitng my brother that lives a several hours away. He is single and his "kids" are a pittbull and a french bulldog. My family and I have fallen in love with his frenchie George St. Pierre. He is going to let us borrow hime for a few weeks. He is like a little pig. he snorts and he grunts. He can be playful but he is usually lazy and like to cuddle and sleep. One bad thing is that he does snore very loud!! My parents are going to bring him tomorrow. I can't wait to have a partner to be lazy with:) He brings so much joy to our family.

Sounds like wonderful fun Sleepy...especially the part about him liking to cuddle and sleep!  :)

Pets can be wonderful that way!

Enjoy your visit with your "nephew".  ;)

Oh Sleepy, such fun!

I love dogs altho don't have one at the moment and often 'sit' for the neighbor's Cocker.  She also likes to cuddle.

My Son-n-law wants to get a bulldog and I am all for it.  They have a (will be) 12 year old pit bull (Stafordshire terrier) who is just so much fun, so loving and gentle yet a bundle of energy even at her age!

I used to be able to 'sit' for her when my daughter worked for a juvenile de.t center and went out on bivouac for a few days every other week so we became very close.  Now she lives 6 or 7 hours away and only get to see her a few times a year so relish the time we spend together.

Enjoy George!  With out having to share attention he may not want to go back home!  LOL

It's going great! Well I not sleeping but because of leg pain not his snoring:) He has lost some puppy fat so he doesn't snore very much. Tomorrow will be a big day for him. It is show and tell at the school so he is going to make a guest apperence in the 3rd grade class,1st grade and Kindergarten. The kids are so excited. Thought I would take some pic alongs. He lives in Lake Tahoe and snow boards with my brother. My brother carries him in a little pouch kinda of like what us moms carry are babies in:) Thought the kids would get a kick out of that.

For a little humor - when I 1st saw your post of thought of that old song that I think Jim Stafford did.
"Oh, my bulldog drinks champagne, and I ain't one to complain.......".

I have never heard that song before:)

I have some cute George in the snow pic but can't figure out how to post them. I saw a thread where some posted kitty picture but I am not computer smart:)

We still have George. My brother Pit had 9 puppies a few weeks ago. I have pics of those too. They are so cute:) My fave is all white except for one black ear and a black circle around her eye. I wish we lived closer I would be over there everyday:) I think those puppies might be worth the six hour drive to Tahoe
