Members of Sjogren's World . . . please join with me in sending CONGRATULATIONS to our own Scottie - who is beaming with pride right now as her daughter Bev, along with 3 other gals completed a WORLD RECORD of rowing non-stop, unaided in a 2,010 mile journey around Great Britain.
If you go to the Social Board - you can follow Scottie's posts about Bev and the Seagals. I've also posted something over there too.
This is such an important milestone for Bev and the rest of the Seagals . . . and for Mum and Dad . . . let's post our well wishes to Scottie and the Seagals and give them a grand welcome home!!
You can also follow along the journey at http://seagals.co.uk

Hurrayyyyyyyy Seagals!
Scottie, I just read the other night about your daughter's adventure. I can't imagine how you must feel---proud as punch and relieved as I am sure you were on pins and needles quite a bit of the time.
She will remember this adventure the rest of her life and I would bet that she will not be afraid to try anything new after she made it through this. Quite the girl, I would say. You and hubby must be proud. Irish ;D
Hi :)
Thank you all so much. Yes - hubby and I are proud of her. It's an amazing feeling when your kid does something like that. I just truly wonder where she got it from! Having disembarked on Friday - she was back at the boat Saturday helping to clear things up - (she snaffled an oar and also the anchor, which she is going to put in her garden) I was on the phone to her tonight and she intends to go back to work tomorrow but she says she'll have to wear a pair of jeans as nothing else fits. She's lost 35lbs. She has to get a colleague to drive her because she has developed 'claw hands' and cannot manage a hand brake - or fine motor movement come to that. She's making a doctor's appointment to try to sort out some physio and pain relief. She's already looking forward to her next challenge. She wants to enter The UKs indoor rowing championship (rowing machines) and has already looked up the date. It's on the 29th November apparently. She reckons her upper body will never be fitter for the task. Just wondering whether her hands will be fit!!
She's touched by all the support I've told her she's had from this site.
Thanks - Scottie :)
Great news! Congratulations!
I just cant believe that she is going back to work already....good for her! I know I would need a month off...but then again I could have never completed the trip anyway...so who am I and what am I talking about?? ;)
Well done give yourselves a pat on the back.
Congratulations ;D ;D
THATS FANTASTIC SCOTTIE ;0 XX
Scottie WoW! That is something to be proud of!!
Congratulations Scottie...........
Scottie . . . how's Bev these days? Is her "claw hand" back to normal now?
Any movie deals or anything in the works for the Seagals?
It still amazes me that these four women completed the rowing challenge in such unforgiving weather conditions. To think that two of these women had to sit out on deck and withstand everything Mother Nature threw at them, while the other two women were in their cabins. Amazing!!
Tell Bev we're still so proud of her. She and the Seagals are an inspiration.
Bucky
That is amazing and shows such mental and physical stamina!!!
Congratulations!! I know you must be so proud.
Oops . . . I should have posted asking about Bev under the "Social" Board . . my bad!! ;) ;D
Bucky
Wow, congratulations!!
