Just when you think your life couldn't be anymore inconvenient some new malady appears, no use of right arm for 12 weeks :o What started out as a procedure to remove some of my bursa and remove some bone spurs from my right shoulder, now included a claviculectomy. From typing to wiping, it's all a big job ;)
Wow, you are sending me to the dictionary!
Carolina
We do seem to hit the jackpot, don't we?
Hope this solves your problems.
For now.
Carolina
Wow Epson!! Poor you. Part of the reason I don't want surgery on my elbows is I wouldn't have use of my arms (one at a time) for 4 weeks each. It seems the left would be easier since I'm right handed. I hope you recover well.
Wow Epson - lady luck really doesn't seem to like you!! (We do though)
Sorry you're having another bad episode.
Take care - Scottie :)
Scottie, I have a lot of luck, all bad :D that's what you get for being born on Halloween :o
poor Epson!!! hoping you feel better soon. :)
lori
Epson, I was born on Halloween, too! I happen to think it's a fabulous birthday (I even have a black cat), so I'm sorry to hear that it hasn't been working out for you lately. I hope that after those twelve weeks you feel better than ever.

Epson, Epson, Epson, I thought we had that discussion about moving all those coffins by yourself?? What is up with that!?!? ;) :D
Seriously though, we got to get you out and about, you're becoming dangerous to yourself already!
Just teasing, but I sure hope that you start feeling better my friend.
Take care of yourself -
Patze
Okay Epson, I may not have covered this with you. Before a surgery, ask for the success rate that they have. Now remember that doctors consider a surgery a success if you REMAIN THE SAME or get better. Please get better soon.
Hope you feel better soon.
You just gave me a whole new look at the bursectomy idea my ortho has for my hip. I think I will pass.
Poor Epson! When a doctor says "ectomy" I run - no make that shuffle really fast - in the opposite direction. :o
Hope you feel better soon.

Are you right or left handed? I had to have my right hand wrapped after carpal tunnel surgery for about 10 days and know about the wiping and..........because I am right handed. Hope you figure something out. Lucy
Lucy,
Need you ask, right handed, I can't do anything with my left. Today I reinacted the episode from I Love Lucy when Lucy and Ethel were working at a pastry shop. Only I was making oat meal, the old fashion kind you cook on a stove top, cuz that's how I roll, old school. Any way, I haven't burned the house down yet, but I have at least 11 more weeks so will see.
The dogs showed me a great new way of wiping, anyone have the number to Stanly Steamer?
Oh Epson, You never cease to amaze me with your ailments and your descriptions---you can really make us have a good old gut belly laugh.
Seriously, it really is tough losing one arm cause we can't hardly blow our nose that way either. Did you not hear of microwave oatment??? I bet you are one of the old fashioned guys who doesn't like "change". You must be related to my hubby!!! Hope these things become easier. Have your wife buy you some of the disposable wipes made for babies. Use and flush!!!Irish ;D
Epson, I hope you are feeling better very soon :)
Irish,
The micro wave is the Devil's tool to distroy all good cooked food, if I had my way all of our meals would be cooked with fire and wood.
Epson,
You are insane!!!!!!
Well, it sounds like you may need to take your old fashioned self ALL the way back and find you an extra long corn stark!!! ;) >:( >:( :D :D ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Bernice
Bernice, With all my fog, your post just sent me to the dictionary....stalk..... stark, you know, stark naked, Joy, or better yet, nude! :-\
You know, corn stalk is what Bernice meant; I'm 'covering her backside' as her proofreader ??? hehe!
Epson, Up here in the hills of TN, we use extra long corn cobs... Irish has a good idea, Baby yourself with baby wipes!!! Easier more ways than one... Hang in there, Sjoggie Buddy.
Oh Bernice, I love you! Joy
Good grief, Epson -
A claviculectomy? Worked years for an orthopedic surgeon and that's something I'd not heard in the case of no crush or other unfixable (is that a word?) serious injury to the collarbone.
Just when one doesn't think things can get any worse ....
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Best wishes,
Sheltiemom
